History suggests general manager Eric DeCosta could make a tweak or two to the roster before the Sept. 13 opener in Indianapolis, but below is a breakdown of the Ravens’ initial 53-man squad for the 2026 season:
QUARTERBACKS (3) — Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley, Joe Fagnano
Skinny: Fagnano’s rise from barely getting practice reps to forcing his way onto the roster is a great story, but you hope this is the last time we’re really talking about him or Huntley during the season.
RUNNING BACKS (3) — Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Rasheen Ali
Skinny: Though managing Henry’s early-season workload in his age-32 season sounds like a fair suggestion, the rest of the depth chart doesn’t exactly scream wanting to give the ball to anyone else.
WIDE RECEIVERS (6) — Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Ja’Kobi Lane, Devontez Walker, LaJohntay Wester, Elijah Sarratt
Skinny: The rookie Lane sitting out the preseason finale confirmed him winning the No. 3 wide receiver job, which could become even more prominent if the NFL suspends Bateman at some point.
TIGHT ENDS (4) — Mark Andrews, Durham Smythe, Matt Hibner, Josh Cuevas
Skinny: This position group behind Andrews is completely different from a year ago, and it remains critical for the three-time Pro Bowl selection to bounce back from a disappointing 2025 campaign.
OFFENSIVE LINEMEN (9) — Ronnie Stanley, John Simpson, Jovaughn Gwyn, Vega Ioane, Roger Rosengarten, Ethan Pocic, Carson Vinson, Emery Jones Jr., Andrew Vorhees
Skinny: All signs continue pointing to Gwyn being the starting center over the veteran Pocic for Week 1, but someone with 11 career offensive snaps under his belt keeping the starting job is another story.
DEFENSIVE LINEMEN (6) — Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, Calais Campbell, Broderick Washington, John Jenkins, Aeneas Peebles
Skinny: Though Madubuike not going on injured reserve was a positive sign for his early-season status, questions persist about when the two-time Pro Bowl selection will be back on the field for games.

INSIDE LINEBACKERS (4) — Roquan Smith, Trenton Simpson, Teddye Buchanan, Jay Higgins
Skinny: With Buchanan still not taking part in full-team reps as of last week, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Ravens elevate an inside linebacker from the practice squad for special-teams help early on.
OUTSIDE LINEBACKERS (5) — Trey Hendrickson, Tavius Robinson, Mike Green, Zion Young, Ethan Burke
Skinny: The undrafted Burke capped a good summer by beating out 2024 third-round pick Adisa Isaac for the final outside linebacker spot, which made a young group behind Hendrickson even younger.
CORNERBACKS (6) — Nate Wiggins, Marlon Humphrey, Chidobe Awuzie, T.J. Tampa, Keyon Martin, Chandler Rivers
Skinny: Though the rest of the group behind Wiggins, Humphrey, and Awuzie is light on experience, there’s a balance of inside-outside flexibility, which is important to have for the game-day roster.
SAFETIES (4) — Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks, Jaylinn Hawkins, Keondre Jackson
Skinny: Few players improved their summer stock more than Jackson, who excelled on special teams as a rookie last year and won the No. 4 safety job in a defense that will deploy three safeties regularly.
SPECIALISTS (3) — Tyler Loop, Ryan Eckley, Nick Moore
Skinny: The struggling Loop remains the kicker for now, but one of the biggest points of interest in the coming days will be whether Baltimore adds a kicker to the practice squad to potentially take the job.
INJURED RESERVE – DESIGNATED TO RETURN — CB Bilhal Kone, RB Adam Randall
Skinny: Randall landing on IR was a surprising development after he played in the preseason finale and seemed fine afterward, but he and Kone represent depth options eligible to return by Week 5.
