OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Ravens head coach Jesse Minter was reluctant to share any specifics when discussing players dealing with injuries throughout the summer, so the first official injury report of the 2026 season shed some light ahead of Sunday’s opener in Indianapolis.
Though every player on the 53-man roster took part in Wednesday’s practice, Baltimore listed wide receivers Zay Flowers and Devontez Walker, defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, and inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan as limited participants. The report confirmed Flowers has been dealing with a hamstring strain that popped up during the Ravens’ joint practices with Minnesota last month. The two-time Pro Bowl selection missed a handful of days before returning to practice last week.
If there were any lingering doubts about his Week 1 status, Flowers put an end to that by saying he was feeling “better than ever” in the locker room on Wednesday afternoon.
Madubuike continues increasing his activity level in practices and hit the sled extensively during the portion of Wednesday’s workout open to media. While no one has officially ruled out the two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman for Sunday’s game, the extremely slow summer ramp-up in his return from last year’s career-threatening neck injury and surgery this past spring has led most to assume Madubuike won’t be on the field against the Colts.

“I have seen a ton. Obviously, that decision when ‘Beeks’ is out there is between him and all the powers that be upstairs. I am going to leave them to that,” defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said. “What I can say is that what I have seen out of Beeks [is] he’s looked fantastic. I think when he does get out there, the fans as well as us as coaches are going to be excited.”
Buchanan appears to be in a similar position as he continues ramping up from the torn ACL he suffered last December.
Walker was back on the practice field after sitting out Tuesday’s workout.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis listed two starters as limited participants with the biggest name of interest being standout wide receiver Alec Pierce. The deep-threat playmaker underwent offseason surgery on his heel and ankle, which has led some to question how effective he’ll be out of the 2026 gate. Starting safety A.J. Haulcy (ankle) was also limited on Wednesday.
