The Baltimore Orioles came one miracle leap and catch by Colton Cowser away from getting swept by the woeful Colorado Rockies in Denver. Two steps forward and three steps sideways as Luke Jones and Nestor recant every nice thing they said 48 hours ago as the Boston Red Sox come to Camden Yards for four games in a “pennant race” that feels very on brand for a sub-.500 outfit in September.
The discussion assessed the Orioles’ disappointing series loss in Colorado and their uncertain playoff prospects, with a brief update on Ravens roster and personnel issues.
Orioles Struggles
- Luke and Nestor agreed that losing two of three to the Rockies was especially damaging after the Orioles had reached .500 and gained widespread attention following Colton Cowser’s catch.
- The Orioles scored only seven runs in their first 28 innings at Coors Field and committed costly defensive, baserunning, and situational mistakes.
- Trevor Rogers pitched effectively, while Kyle Bradish appeared less like an ace; the offense remains inconsistent and overly dependent on individual hot streaks.
Playoff Outlook
- The team remains mathematically in contention, but its repeated pattern of brief improvement followed by regression has undermined confidence.
- The upcoming series against Boston and Cleveland was identified as a critical test. Can the Orioles play clean, disciplined baseball against stronger opponents and build momentum?
Ravens Updates
- Eric DeCosta expressed optimism about Lamar Jackson’s contract extension and Namdi Madubuike’s recovery.
- The Ravens are disappointed by Rashod Bateman’s legal situation, while Tyler Loop is expected to open as the kicker and Jake Moody has joined the practice squad.
- Publish a curated article on BaltimorePositive.com summarizing 12 Ravens thoughts based on Eric DeCosta’s comments.
- Re-release previously recorded thoughts about his father and growing up around Memorial Stadium in connection with the Orioles’ 20th anniversary. (@Nestor Aparicio)
- Bring and distribute Ravens scratch-off giveaways at the Maryland Crab Cake Tour event at Costas in Dundalk on September 11. (@Nestor Aparicio)
Orioles Series Review
- Reaction to losing two of three games to the Rockies after a six-and-one start to the road trip.
- Offensive failure at Coors Field, defensive errors, poor baserunning, and questionable situational decisions.
- Evaluation of Colton Cowser’s catch as a dramatic moment that prevented a sweep but did not create sustained momentum.
Playoff Position
- The Orioles remain near the wild-card race despite being a sub-.500 team.
- Upcoming games against the Red Sox, Guardians, Blue Jays, and other contenders were discussed as decisive opportunities.
- Concern that the team has not consistently handled success or converted favorable situations.
Ravens Personnel
- Lamar Jackson contract negotiations remain unresolved, though DeCosta expressed optimism.
- Madubuike’s recovery is progressing, but he is unlikely to play in the opener.
- The Ravens’ response to Bateman’s legal situation and the uncertainty at kicker were reviewed.
Media and Programming
- Nestor previewed upcoming Maryland Crab Cake Tour appearances and ongoing music-focused programming.

Welcome home. We are WNST AM 1570 Towson, Baltimore. We call this thing Baltimore Positive. Welcome in. Set a place on the dial. Welcome to football season. But this is going to be a baseball segment. We’re doing the Maryland Crab Cake Tour beginning next week. I love the Kiss Face Bird. I told John Martin the story about having his face bird should have been the primary bird all along. How I just bought. By the way, I found a whole bunch of old ticket stubs. I bothered poor David Modell. Oh, did I bother him? And boy, have I found some cool memories too. But we’re doing rock and roll around here, and we’re going to kick things off next week by rocking and rolling to Dundalk, to my homeland. We’re going to be at Costas and Dundalk on the 11th next week. I have also confirmed a whole bunch of dates now. Later on in the month, we’re going to be at State Fair on the 24th for breakfast. That’s Thursday, the 24th of September, and then on Friday, the 25th, we’re going to Pizza John’s. We’re going back to Koco’s in October as well. We’re going to be Fishmonger’s Daughter on October the eighth in Catonsville as well. So getting all around, and our friends at GBMC putting us out on the road as well as Farnan and Dermer. They are the comfort guys, and they do all things sports, including our sports locker room audio vault that we have at Baltimore Positive for our 28th anniversary. And I’m doing rock and roll, Luke. I swear I really wanted to get all these rock and roll interviews out this week. I did Gilmore, I did Rick Emmett. Rick Emmett was one of the great, really one of the great interviews I’ve ever done. As I get older, I loved it. It’s there. They’re playing in town. So I was going to run all this rock and roll stuff, and I’m counting down my 28 most influential bands and memories, and going through all these backstage passes and artifacts and all this stuff, and I just thought like baseball was going to sail away because you and I have urinated upon this team 1000 times. We’ve buried them, we’ve hate watched them, and then all of a sudden we do one freaking segment praising them. Kozer goes over the wall, he’s 212 average, and the 198 strikeouts are all going to go away, and they’re going to meme him to a cow. And I damn, I almost went to the Chick Fil A, and that’s against my, you know, it’s against my partisan politics. But they lost two out of three on the road to one of the worst teams on earth. I don’t even know if it happened because there was nobody there. I looked in the stands. I mean, there were 100 Oriole fans there. They don’t hit the ball. They started throwing the ball around like, I mean, Kozler threw the ball into like Arveda, Colorado. There, it didn’t. It wasn’t an error. Like you can’t believe in this team. I mean, this team’s the Dean Kramer of teams. I I can’t. I just can’t.
Luke Jones 2:51
That’s actually not bad.
Nestor Aparicio 2:52
I can’t count on it, man. I can’t count on it.
Luke Jones 2:54
I want to start off before we get into this issuing a public apology. A few days ago, I made the point that after five months, the 2026 Orioles were starting to grow on me, and then they proceed to lose two games to baseball’s doormat. Not just this year, but over the last five years. Look at what the Colorado Rockies have been, and that was a team that had lost 11 of 13 prior to the Kowser night, and we said it at the time. Look, take nothing away from that play. It’s the play of the year kind of play, not just for the Orioles, but around baseball. But we made the comment. I know I wrote about it at BaltimorePositive.com. Plenty of other people commented on it in this context. Said that time will tell what that catch actually means, and they’ve they lost two in a row after that and reverted and didn’t hit the ball. They scored seven runs in the 27 innings, first 28 innings at Coors Field before they have a couple of extra innings with the coast runner and all that. The defense still some good defensive plays. I mean, Encarnacio and Strand made a couple really nice plays in some big spots, but Jackson Holiday on Tuesday night dropped pop up right, and then saying after the game that that’s a tougher play than major leaguers make it. I mean, like no one wants to hear that, man. Like, come on, that that’s uninspiring. And then Jackson Holiday base running in the top of the 10th inning, you know, an ABS ill-advised ABS challenge that frankly came across as selfish in the top of the 11th inning that his catcher and pitcher really could have used in the bottom half of the inning when you already had a two two run lead at that point in time. You know, I am going to single out Jackson Holiday a little bit because that that was below the bar kind of stuff. He, I know he hit the home run on Tuesday night, but that’s that’s the kind of thing that’s led the team leader
Nestor Aparicio 4:53
guy. He’s now the one. I mean, I don’t know if
Luke Jones 4:55
he’s the leader. No, no, no, no, no.
Nestor Aparicio 4:57
I’m saying like Ruchman’s gone now. Henderson. Since whatever Henderson is, Alonzo’s paid. I’m not. I’m not trying to be that deep about it. No, no, no. I just think like there is a point where we need to see him stepping up as, you know, I dare I say, superstar. That’s such a like a 19. I just look like a major
Luke Jones 5:16
leaguer’s son who should should know better than doing things like instinctive
Nestor Aparicio 5:20
baseball. I mean, that was a
Luke Jones 5:21
little league base running mistake right there. I mean, you’re taught you’re taught not to do something like that in little league, let alone in the top of the 10th inning of a tie ball game when you’re independent race. Yeah, I mean it’s just, but but and I don’t want to single him out too much because they didn’t hit the ball across the board. Gunnar Henderson, who had the monster day in Sacramento on Sunday, the latest example of is this the time? Is he finally going to get going? And he did nothing in this series, right? I mean, even even Monday night. I mean, it’s not as though they hit the ball on Monday night. Colton Cowser saved them. So you ask in the short term what the Colton Cowser catch meant for this club. It was they were inches away from being swept potentially, right? So, look, it’s not over. I don’t want to be overly dramatic about it. We’ve done this a dozen times, good or bad, right? They have a good series and you’re excited about it. Bad series and the season’s over. The season’s not over. Boston’s coming off of a really unimpressive series themselves. Well, they’re coming
Nestor Aparicio 6:23
home now, right? Like, so they got home cooking. It’s gonna be warm out. You play an afternoon game Sunday and Monday. They got a holiday. That this is the week they have to look like a playoff team, or they’re not gonna be one, right? Like that’s.
Luke Jones 6:36
But but at the same time, okay. 10 days ago, if you had told me a six and three road trip, you’d
Speaker 1 6:43
say,
Luke Jones 6:43
“Yeah, that that’s the minimum of what they need. So they got that. But when it starts six and one, when you’re the talk of the baseball world, not just the baseball world, ESPN, which barely even can be bothered to talk about Major League Baseball in the modern day with with shows like Get Up and First Take and all of that, right? You know they have a very minimal TV contract with Major League Baseball. Colton Kozler’s catch was the lead. Football guys were talking about that catch on Tuesday morning. I mean, they were the talk of baseball Tuesday morning, getting back to 500, and you know you look at where they are in the wild card standings, and they’re right there with probably the
Nestor Aparicio 7:20
most exciting thing you can do in baseball, other than throwing no hitter or whatever, which is across time or having hitting streaks or you know breaking Barry Bonds’s. I mean, I’m just thinking of things that would catch your eye in a baseball. Adam Jones going, you know, what he did in the the USA, right? Like that. That’s the most exciting play in baseball is going over the wall to steal a home run, right? More exciting than hitting one, because everybody goes back, back, back, back, back, back 1000 times at the All Star game, and you know they’ve made the home run sort of trite to some degree, and they’re three or four of them a game. How many times a guy go over the wall and take a ball away? Twice a year on each team in some sort of way or impressive way, but yeah, but it’s got to lead to some sort of momentum for them that it hasn’t led to, and they have their chance to make their own momentum up against the Red Sox here, and certainly against the Guardians next week. That if if there’s three backing sweep there, you and I are talking differently on Wednesday than we are like who’s the Colts quarterback, by the way, you know next week, and I have Bob Kravitz coming on. I got Mike Chapel coming. I’m going to Indy for my indie mafia. I’m even going to try to find Stokely if I can find him. He’s even out in Denver. Then we lost OJ this week, so there’s been just all of this football thing, and I’ve been musicked up and into my AI and having fun with my wife’s been home this week. But whatever, like the baseball part of this has been something that like I’ve not counted on it five different times. People have counted them out five different times or whatever, but this week has been. I mean, we’re in September now. You know, you’re at a point where like you either look the part or you don’t look the part for them. Yeah, and they don’t
Luke Jones 9:00
look the part. I mean, it’s just that-that’s just look. They had a six and three homes. Craig Albernaz even said this in the post game on Wednesday. That yeah, six and three is a good road trip, but that’s not really good enough right now. And you-you were six and one. You had a chance to have an eight-and-one road trip, right? You had a chance to come home a couple games over 500. Talk of baseball, and you just and you just lost to the worst team in in the National League, right? A team that’s been the doormat of baseball over the last five years. You come up a game
Nestor Aparicio 9:33
short at the end. Shame on you for everything that happened the last 48 hours in Colorado.
Luke Jones 9:37
And look, if they had gotten one of these two games, fine, right? I, I did. It didn’t need to be a sweep, but the idea that you get to 500 on Monday night and there’s so much excitement. I mean, people are tweeting about the Orioles at 1:30, 2 o’clock in the morning. I got text messages from you know Alan McCallum, my cousin base.
Nestor Aparicio 9:57
It awakened. It waked you and me.
Luke Jones 10:00
It absolutely well. I mean, you know, I can
Nestor Aparicio 10:01
look on YouTube and see how many views the people came on YouTube to watch. Watch you and me talk about it, like so. Like I, I, I get that. Like it reawakened people at a time where summer’s over, kids are back at school. I know because my neighbors dropped pairs off and knocked on my door the other day. The kid, kids in my neighborhood are back back school. Yeah, and I’m thinking like, all right, so we’re back to some sense of what time’s the game on, and they’re going to start playing at 6o’clock again today, basically, and they’re in the mind’s eye, and the football team’s like doing nothing this weekend, right? I mean, Dacosta did 31 minutes of nothing, which we’ll get to at some point in this segment, probably, because it’s Labor Day and it’s what like they’ve got our attention, right? I mean, if you have an Oriole hat in your closet, the Colton Cowser thing happened, and they’re winning games, and they’re back to 500. And my my thing was shared. It it’s the most viewed thing that I’ve had on Facebook baseball related since Free the Birds, I guess, you know, in the middle of the night. So I, it’s 100% I agree with you. It awakened. It did what Katie Griggs and Don Rovac need. It awakened everybody to say, “Oh, they’re home this weekend. I don’t have anything to do. I might go down the ballpark. You know, I want to watch the team play.
Luke Jones 11:19
But then they showed who they are again. I mean, they just did, and it’s not over. And look, the math is going to continue to look favorable. And I don’t have a whole lot of confidence in the the Cleveland Guardians or the Texas Rangers or the Toronto Blue Jays. How about this? Go
Nestor Aparicio 11:35
beat them. How about this? Go beat them. You got nine games against 10 people in Toronto. Beat them. We.
Luke Jones 11:40
Yes. Sure. Sure. I. I I don’t want to gloss over the fact that they lost this series because they deserve to be beaten up a little bit for it because they played poor baseball the last couple days and they did things that they hadn’t been doing nearly as much of lately in terms of a critical defensive mistake or a base running mistake. The bats complete. I mean, Nestor, they scored seven runs in their first 28 innings at Coors Field. Coors Field
Nestor Aparicio 12:09
against Segano
Luke Jones 12:10
against a terrible, terrible pitching staff, and they they they didn’t hit the ball. Pat
Nestor Aparicio 12:16
McDonald spends the whole afternoon talking about whether Segano can get a job again next year, and he put a resume on for why he will. I mean, it’s just
Luke Jones 12:24
that’s what’s frustrating about this because you did awaken your fan base, and the rest of the baseball world’s paying attention and saying, “Hey, hey, here come the Orioles! Like, let’s not count them out. And then you just you laid back-to-back eggs in the fashion that they did. I mean, I
Nestor Aparicio 12:41
went to the level of the crowd. Like there was no energy. Like it was like an empty ball. I mean, I even
Luke Jones 12:47
described it. I full disclosure. I didn’t get to watch Wednesday’s game intently. Like I was very in and out because I was at Ravens. I was watching it on my phone. I was watching on my laptop. All of that. But you know, I watched enough of it, right? And I saw the most critical plays and everything, but you know I said this after Tuesday’s loss, on the heels of the emotion of Monday night and all that chatter and all that attention that they got. Albernaz
Nestor Aparicio 13:12
was even talking about the fans, the Oriole fans sticking out through the rain delay. I mean, Albernaz was addressing our our fans travel. They travel. I mean, and I’m like, all right. So you had a couple 100 fans over the dugout after Cowser made the play. That’s kind of cool. Feel great. That’s good, especially in an empty ballpark where they they played in front of 5,000 fans all week, right? They were in Sacramento. That was like it was cute, and it looked like something would have been fun to go out there and watch Anderson hit the ball into the tent land out in right field or whatever that was, but like they’ve been playing in front of nobody all week.
Luke Jones 13:46
But but I just you know Tuesday night I called it a sleepy showing. I mean it just came across as a very sleepy showing, and and then Wednesday I mean your bullpen falls apart at the end, and I get that. And look, those guys have been overworked, and you know I mean, they used De Leon in his major league debut on Tuesday night, which you know I I understood in some ways, given where they were in the bull with their bullpen and how much those guys have thrown of late, and where the Rockies were with their lineup with some lefties. But at the same time, you’re also saying it’s the seventh inning, it’s a tie game, and this guy’s making his major league debut, right? It’s one of those things where you can see it in the micro, but in the macro it seems crazy, right? But I mean, I just I just look at this and say this is another example, and I’ve talked about this a lot with various series they’ve had where they win the first two, or in the case of the Rays series down at the Trop, where you win the first three, you’ve got a chance to completely just step on the neck of your opponent, and just like seize the opportunity, and this was just the latest example of them not. They should have been having
Nestor Aparicio 14:47
fun the last couple of days, and instead, it just teams 30 games under 500. Beat them, beat them up, go win.
Luke Jones 14:53
Right, and and that’s where it’s just frustrating. And again, six and three is a perfectly fine, acceptable. I don’t want to say it’s great because it was the the minimum of what they needed. If they went five and four or worse on this road trip against those three teams, I mean, PU, come on. But six and three, if if someone had told you that a week and a half ago, you would have begrudgingly said, okay, that’s acceptable. You would say they’re still in it, right? But when you go six and three when you were six and one, and you had the play of the year, and everyone is talking about you, and suddenly everyone’s excited, and you’re back to 500, and you lose those two games, and you do the things that you did in the process of losing those two games. That’s where it just again, I apologize for saying that this team was growing on me because it felt all too familiar the last couple games. Now we’ll see, right? I think one one thing I wanted to point out: go look at the standings right now. The Boston Red Sox lost their last two as well at Fenway against the the Seattle Mariners. The Orioles could have been four back of Boston for the second wild card had they won the last two nights or the last two games.
Nestor Aparicio 16:10
Three out of four could have picked up. Then you’re talking about that in terms of like not
Luke Jones 16:14
just the last wild card, but suddenly the. You got to
Nestor Aparicio 16:16
play good. You got to play 625 ball this month to be able to do sure.
Luke Jones 16:20
And and that’s where against
Nestor Aparicio 16:21
good teams against good teams
Luke Jones 16:23
and and that’s where and look let me be very clear, I don’t think there’s any reason to be scared and I use scared in quotes of the Boston Red Sox this weekend, but the way this team profiles, I could see them losing three out of four, I could see them winning three out of four, and then they’ll look the exact opposite against Cleveland when they come to town this coming week, right? I mean, it’s just they just aren’t a team that appears to be able to handle success. Look, did they get complacent after Monday night? Were they puffing out their chest a little bit? Did they relax in some way? And I don’t mean relax in a good way, like more so, like oh, look what we did. Hey, we’re back to 500. Was there a sense of self satisfaction there? I don’t know, right? I’m not not a sports psychologist, but it’s just whether it’s that or whether they’re just plain not good enough. And I tend to think it’s probably a little bit of both. Defensively, that’s certainly the case, and offensively, overrated would be where I would go with most of these players in a general sense. Streaky would be the nice thing to say about Pete Alonso or Gunnar Henderson or any of these guys. But as a collective, they don’t hit the ball well, and you’ve pointed this out for three freaking years now. Yeah, and I and I don’t I don’t want to put Pete Alonso into that category. Pete Alonzo’s had a great year. He was going to cool off at some point after the insane first four weeks of August that he had. But the problem is when he cools off, they stop scoring runs, right? So and they continue to hit Gun Henderson in in the three hole, right? I mean Gunner had the great game on Sunday, and he can also made that play,
Nestor Aparicio 18:02
but he didn’t get a hit for he had a week, right? Like literally. Well, I mean,
Luke Jones 18:05
he he had been swinging the bat better, but yes, he. I mean, you can go down the list, right? I mean, all these guys go through periods of time where something will. I mean, look at Jackson Holiday. I I talk. We talked about him a lot in the month of July, go look at what his offensive numbers have been since august 1. I mean that that’s a. I know it sounds like I’m picking on him a little bit. Now I’m not going to give him a pass for the last couple games because that was a lot of below the bar stuff. I mean you drop a pop up when De Leon’s in the in the game major first major league hitter he faces, and you drop a pop up, and immediately you put him in a position where he has traffic on the bases because you can’t catch a pop up. And then on Wednesday, I mean, just awful base running and just a complete low baseball IQ challenge in a spot where you’re up two, unless you know that ball is six inches outside off the plate, like it’s it’s beyond obvious. You can’t use that there. You need to save that for your pitcher and your catcher for the bottom half of the inning. And instead, he he uses it, burns it. I think he get rung up looking anyway in that at bat. So it was just that’s the kind of thing. And and it’s not just him, you know. I don’t want to make, but there’s just too much of that. We’ve seen it from a base running standpoint. We’ve seen it from a defensive standpoint. This team exhibits a low IQ baseball-wise in terms of just situations and knowing where to go, and and it’s frustrating because they had looked way better in those departments over the last-I mean, even going back for most of you know, let’s say since the trade deadline, right? And it’s not as though they played unbelievable baseball since then. But I will say, I think they’ve played cleaner baseball overall since then.
Nestor Aparicio 19:54
Wednesday afternoon, they played a single into a double, and Kowser launched the ball toward the dugout. I’m like even the hell is what I’m I’m yelling at the television. What the hell is going on? By the way, even the
Luke Jones 20:05
guy that might be their best defender still is apt to do something like that. That’s why he’s a two,
Nestor Aparicio 20:10
not a one. It’s dramatic. But I had Dave Shining on last week with with Rasig, and Rasig did not go to the Oriole game with me last month. He goes a lot when I get my curio tickets from Wendy. He’s gone with me and sweated it out, but he was unavailable that day. So when I told them what that I yelled at Brandon Young and you told me Brandon Young’s a good guy and whatever, I left out the part of what I yelled that was the key part, and this is what I yelled at Kalser at the TV. And this is totally my father. This is my pop coming out of me. You know, the 20th anniversary for the birds is this month, so I’m gonna, you know, re-release some of the thoughts about my father and growing up around Memorial Stadium and why I love baseball so much. But I yelled at Brandon Young. I yelled, “That’s embarrassing, you know. Field your position is what I yelled. I yelled at Albernaz extra infield, extra infield, but I forgot the thing that I yelled that frustrated me the most. That I yelled out loud just to no one in the world, and this is where I am on the whole totality of the last two days, but certainly the Cowser launch into the dugout. It didn’t cost them anything, but I mean they’re already lazy to single into a double. They let they let a guy hustle them. I yelled, “You’re in a pennant race! You’re in a pennant race! And that’s what I would yell to Jackson Holiday, or what his old man should yell to him, or what Albernaz just in a general sense that if you’re gonna play dopey in September, and I want to be nice because I don’t want Raphael Palmeiro to chase me with a bat by saying something that wouldn’t allow me to be a host at the fan, but like if you’re gonna play dumb, dopey baseball in September, you’re not gonna play in October. So all that, and if I’m Lou Bakering them right now, I’d lean in and I’d have a team meeting, and I’d say all that dumb shit you’re doing back in May and June and July. It’s not gonna cut it. September, not gonna make it around here. Holiday, look like a little leaguer out there. So I mean, I could play that role on the radio and be that like, oh, I I did that back in the ’90s. You know, shame on that. But like, as a totality, the whole franchise about to go out of business, right? Because they’re the off season, the mess. Is mom going to buy her Mass and subscription next May or June when they resume? All of that’s going to become the story, and they got like four weeks here to eat. A lot of this is out of town. They end the season in Yankee Stadium if it should get to that point, and that’s the weekend that like the Ravens are going to be in Brazil. Leonard Raskin’s going to be running around Brazil. That’ll be fun. I told him I, man, it’s dodgy. I’m I’m worried about Leonard. He says he’s with the tour group. I’m I’m okay, but like you and I should be so inclined to go to Yankee Stadium that weekend, shouldn’t we? Shouldn’t they be a game back with three to play, and we’re scoreboard watching, and you and I are like sitting at some Applebee’s. I’m making that up. I would never do that to you in New York, but you and I would be in New York on Sunday afternoon watching the Orioles and the Yankees try to play to get in, and and the Ravens are playing in Brazil. Like I, like I want a real sports season here. I want this to matter. Believe it or not, if anybody sees Katie, tell her I want her to make money. I want this thing to sort of work out and not be what it’s been the last 30 years. And this is the kind of weekend, Luke. It’s Memorial. I mean, excuse me. It’s Labor Day weekend. They’re in a pennant race. You’re in a pennant race. That’s what I would yell. You’re in a pennant race, and you’ve got these seven games where like the football team doesn’t matter. Lamar’s okay.
Nestor Aparicio 24:14
They’re gonna field the whole compliment. Even Kaleus Campbell, they’re all okay. They’re gonna play. You can hate the Colts in Indianapolis next week if you’re old enough like me. I’m letting my my silver come in a little bit, but like you’re in a pennant race. This is important for the city, for the franchise, for mr. Rubenstein and mr. Arigatti. Like show up, show up, show out. You’re in a pentagram. I don’t have to yell it out loud, Wendy. If you give me the ticket, sweetie, I’ll come. I’m coming. I’m in. You give me those tickets against the Guardians, I will howl on Monday night if they’re throwing the ball to Cherry Hill on a cutoff or a relay, or they’re missing bunts, or this is this is how. To play your Christmas baseball to be on point, even when you’re in Colorado and there’s friends and family, and you’re underneath a pop-up, and they’re yelling at you because you could hear them. And I would tell Albernaz and Brandon Young and who else? I didn’t yell at anybody. I yelled at Brady Anderson that day because there were plenty of Angels. If you don’t want to hear me yelling at you from the Curio Wellness and foreign daughter seats in the fourth row behind the on-deck circle, get some people to your ballpark. You know, when the Yankees were in, they’d have to worry about that so much because I had these dudes from Puerto Rico shouting me down when I was shouting down Juan Soto. It was fun. We had a good time, good baseball vibe. But like, I look, I wanted a good baseball vibe for you this weekend. You know what I mean. Like in a general sense, like I want a vibe, and for for the city, for the teams. I mean, it’s bad enough that they feel like corporate schmoes putting up talons and hot dogs taste better on the inside and charging all this money and just being jerks in a general sense. But you want to do all that great. Play games that matter in September, and and play them like a major league outfit. And when you go to Colorado, don’t look the way you looked the last couple days.
Luke Jones 26:11
Yeah, I mean, you know, we we can talk about the vibes were immaculate on Tuesday morning, right? The vibes were massive on Tuesday. Doesn’t matter if you don’t win games. They’re not good enough, or at least through five months they’ve proven themselves not to be good enough. All of this, and you use the word pennant race, and it just makes me cringe just because of the idea, because we’re talking about a sub 500 team. The pennant race is not anything the Orioles did. The pennant race is a product of Major League Baseball and owners expanding the playoff field because they get more national TV money for more games in October. That aside, allowing lousy outfits like this that play like the Bad News Bears five nights a week defensively to play in October. To your point, to play in October. That aside, that the opportunity is presented to you here, but Tuesday and Wednesday, or yeah, Tuesday and Wednesday, were the latest example of them showing themselves not to be up to the task. And look, I’m not sitting here with any fearfulness or any thought resignation that that they won’t compete whatsoever against the Red Sox this weekend. I don’t think it’s about that. For me, it’s whatever happens in this series, and even if it happens to be good, I have no confidence that they’re going to build on it to any meaningful degree. It’s this constant. You’ve heard me say this 100 times over the last two months, probably, where it’s one or two steps forward, two or three steps back, and that’s just the pattern. And when you look at that, sometimes it is two steps forward and then two steps back, so they kind of stay in the same place. But sometimes it’s only one step forward and it’s two steps back, and they won four on a road
Nestor Aparicio 28:01
this week, so four ahead, two back. But
Luke Jones 28:03
that’s where you just look at this thing and say, even if they win three out of four against the Red Sox, and if they do, they’ll be back at 500. I can’t sit here and and continue to lie to anyone. And like I said, I fell for it on Monday night and Tuesday morning that they’re necessarily going to build against build on it against Cleveland, and even if they do, if if they happen to, I won’t have much confidence with going to Toronto. I mean, when you lose two out of three to the Colorado Rockies, who after Monday after Koueser secured that catch, the Rockies had lost 12 of their last 14 games.
Nestor Aparicio 28:40
By the way, I just thought of this. Kouzler goes up and doesn’t catch that ball. They got swept.
Luke Jones 28:47
I I said that 15 minutes ago. I forgot
Nestor Aparicio 28:50
about that. Yeah,
Luke Jones 28:50
yeah. They got
Nestor Aparicio 28:51
swept.
Luke Jones 28:51
That’s what I’m saying. When you say time will tell, when when you say time will tell what a moment will mean, the short-term ramification of that is, wow, they needed that just to avoid being swept. Well, they are the wild card team. They’re only getting in by one game. They’re not going to. They’re not.
Nestor Aparicio 29:11
It’s not going to be a three-game swing. But but the idea is,
Luke Jones 29:14
if this team really was worthy of truly getting behind them, and and I don’t mean like this isn’t me saying don’t watch the games, don’t go to the games, like any of that. Like they’re playing because of Major League Baseball and the structure of the playoff format. They are playing meaningful games, which there are plenty of years where we couldn’t say that in this town. So as I said the other day, and I’ll stick by this part of it. It is okay to embrace it and just say, hey, have some fun with this if you’re if you’re so inclined, and if not, and you don’t believe in them, I’m not going to sit here and begrudge you because I haven’t believed in them for the last two months either. Like I said, I I apologize for saying that they were growing on me a few days ago, but you you just look at this thing and you look at Monday night. If there were a team worth their salt. That would be the springboard to then go nuts, finish off a sweep, come home two games over 500, and suddenly you’re four games behind everybody in the city. Be all over
Nestor Aparicio 30:11
the team today if that were the case. And you
Luke Jones 30:12
know, like, and it’s not even they had that.
Nestor Aparicio 30:14
They had it right. It was sitting right there for them, and sitting right there for them this week. They still sitting right there. Yes,
Luke Jones 30:20
and just this goes back to what I said to you after they were swept by the Yankees. I said to you at the time, “No, it’s not over. Yes, they’re going to be back in a position like they were in a few days ago, and everyone’s going to get excited. But how many times are we going to let Lucy pull pull the football away from Charlie Brown here? You know, no pun in you know intended as the Ravens are getting three more weeks from what I
Nestor Aparicio 30:40
can count, maybe. Yeah, yeah. I
Luke Jones 30:43
mean, I I don’t think they’re going to fall out of it entirely. Do I think they’re going to actually do this thing? No, I don’t, because I just don’t believe in this team. And
Nestor Aparicio 30:50
field your position, your independent race, hit the ball. The bullpen’s overworked. I mean, they’re playing hot games. And that’s. I mean, this doesn’t profile well the next seven days for me. Let me think that they might not be two and five when this and
Luke Jones 31:03
and let me talk about a couple other things in passing here because we’ve talked about these things but we haven’t necessarily provided the update on it. Bradish was okay on Tuesday night. He’s looking more and more like a fourth or fifth starter though over the last month. It’s not sharp than the guy that’s supposed to be your ace, right? It’s not missing bats. He’s not. The command isn’t sharp. He battled. You know, I. You know, it’s not as though he got shelled or anything like that. Feels like
Nestor Aparicio 31:27
September, but that’s.
Luke Jones 31:28
It’s funny. I was talking to my cousin. Shout out to Kyle. He texts me every game, even though I’m not watching the. But I was talking to him, and and I asked him if the Orioles were to make the Wild card series right now, and you could, and you the stars could align, and you could set up your rotation however you wanted to. Who would be your three starters? I’m not sure Bradish would be one of them right now for me. I think it would be Trevor Rogers who, and that’s the second point. Trevor Trevor Rogers was outstanding on Wednesday. I mean, missing bats. He he he was excellent, right? I mean, to pitch that way at Coors Field, he was he was terrific. I mean, six and two thirds, 11 strikeouts, zero walks, and and to not get a win in a per when you have a performance like that, I mean, that’s that’s really disappointing. But think about it. It’s another layer to the Kowser catch and getting back to 500. You had Kyle Bradish and Trevor Rogers going the next two games, and not only did you not sweep, which again I’m not saying it had to be a sweep, but you didn’t you didn’t win either one, and both of them, even acknowledging Bradish not looking all that impressive, they each pitched well enough that you should have been in position to win games. I mean, their offense, their offense, no showed in that series. I mean, think about Luis Robert, to his credit, knocked in two of their runs on Wednesday, earning his
Nestor Aparicio 33:00
five nil, baby. Yeah.
Luke Jones 33:01
So I’m like, where would they have been without him? Even I mean, it’s just again, I I don’t use this term a lot. I was disgusted with with how this series finished. I mean, that that was as uninspiring as it gets when you consider the highs, you know, the high of highs with what Kozer did at 1 a.m. early Tuesday morning, and then to be coming home two days later, losing that series, man. I mean that’s that’s where you look at it and say, you know, we’ll see what happens here. But sometimes a great moment is just a great moment in time, and you’ll say, “Oh, that was a great catch, but it’s not always Doug Desense hitting a home run in 1979, right? Sometimes it’s just, “Well, that was a fun play, but yeah, that team wasn’t very fun overall. So we’ll see. They are coming home. They they play what? They only play is it nine more? They they play 13 of 22 at home to close the regular season, for whatever that’s worth, right? And it’s not as though they’ve been a great, great team at Camden Yards. They’ve been 500. I mean, imagine that. They got even their
Nestor Aparicio 34:11
trip. They got to play the Mets on the road, and that have been yeah. The Mets
Luke Jones 34:15
have been a better series a month ago. Yeah, I mean the Mets. You know, they they I think they’ve lost four or six of their last 10. I mean, they haven’t been terrific, but they’re playing better baseball overall compared to where they were a few months ago. But the problem is, this was their last quote layup series, and yes, it’s baseball, and yes, any team can beat any other team on any given night, any given series. But again, six and three when you were six and one, it’s very disappointing, and I’m not going to overlook that because these were two winnable games. Forget about the pen. Forget about even holidays miscues. You just hit the ball at a place that’s been known for 30 years. A hitter’s dream with the thin air and all of that, and they scored seven stinking runs over 27 innings of regulation. I had to edit an
Nestor Aparicio 35:10
f bomb out on myself because of their pitching earlier in the years. I’m not gonna. Luke Jones is here. He’s Baltimore Luke. We’re gonna be doing the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by the Maryland Lottery. Have Raven scratch offs. By the way, we’re going to be welcoming some new sponsors on as well. I got my Planet Fitness gear on. I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m ready for football season out there. So our friends at Farnham and Derma there, the Comfort Guys, 410 367777. They sponsor us. You can find them out at Baltimore Positive. Zach’s going to be hanging out. We’re going to be doing the crab cake tour with our friends at GBMC next Friday at Costas in Dundalk, kicking it off on the 11th. We’re also going to be on the 24th at State Fair in Catonsville. We’re going to be doing that breakfast style in the morning. That’s Thursday the 24th, and then on the 25th we are back at Pizza Johns, and that’s the last weekend of the baseball season. Orioles are Yankees that weekend. The Ravens will be playing the third weekend. They’ll be two and zero then, right? And heading to Brazil to take on the Cowboys. Luke, anything you want to give me on the the Costa thing? I mean, I don’t want to belabor it. We could do a long segment about it. People can go listen to it out in the foreign and in Dermer audio vault. But the Lamar thing, I guess, was the headline, right?
Luke Jones 36:23
Yeah, I mean, it always is, right? I will have a curated 12 Ravens thoughts based off of DeCosta that that you can check out at BaltimorePositive.com. I mean, for me, there were kind of three things that jumped out, and one of them is only by default. Eric DeCosta said the obvious and the only thing he really can say when it pertains to Lamar Jackson’s contract extension and any talks, he said, “I’m optimistic. I feel good about it. He said they want to get the deal done as soon as possible, and he’s not going to talk about the specifics. As dude,
Nestor Aparicio 36:56
we could have written that, right? I mean, that’s what I’m saying, and and it’s funny. Like I
Luke Jones 37:00
actually use this as my lead, you know. I did, you know, just a a short little write up on it. There, there was a moment when a reporter asked Acosta how good he he’s feeling about Jesse Minter at the end of his first training camp and his first preseason, and Eric said this like he smirked and and like he was playful, like it wasn’t like anything that that he was dressing anyone down, but he quipped, “Well, that’s a softball. What am I going to say? He’s terrible. And you know, it was like a moment of you know, just a moment of humor. And I thought, I mean, he could have uttered a similar sentiment about like, “What, what, what am I going to say about Lamar? We’re we’re pessimistic. We’re mad at him. Like, you know, like you know what I mean. So he said exactly what you would expect him to, and the only thing he can say when Lamar Jackson has all the leverage, has an $84 million cap number next year, has a no trade clause at the end of his contract, has a no tag clause at the end of his contract. I mean, Lamar has him by the you know what in a big. He better go play well. However, I I don’t even know if it’s so much. I mean, yes, he needs to play well, but you know, a lot of things can go wrong in a football season, right? Like across the board, a lot of things
Nestor Aparicio 38:09
can go wrong for him to not play well and not be his fault or portray it as not his fault in many ways. The starting with the offensive line, or if
Luke Jones 38:18
you’re, you know, you have a season that you’re not expecting to have, and suddenly the the honeymoon with the new head coach and the new all that, right? Look, I don’t say any of this to say that I don’t expect a deal to get done. I still fully expect that, but it’s an issue until it’s not an issue. It’s that simple. So that was the update on Lamar, non update update. But the two other things, you know, he talked about Madabike. He said, “Look, we didn’t put him on IR because we fully anticipate he’s going to be back before the fourth game, which I think is a pragmatic explanation. As I said to you, that was how I interpreted it. He expressed a lot of optimism. I think it’s becoming pretty clear that Madabike is not going to play against Indianapolis. I think that much is evident, and I thought that was the case when I asked Jesse Minter earlier in the week if if Madabike was going to do full team reps this week. And you know, he didn’t flat out say no, but he certainly didn’t flat out say yes either, right? So I think you could read the tea leaves there. But overall, he said, “Look, we acknowledge this has been a longer ramp up than normal, but we are feeling good about where he is. I said that he’s building every single day, and he said I’m as encouraged now as I’ve ever been about Namdi. So I think that was acknowledging that. Yeah, there’s been a lot of unknown this off season. So so that was the update on him, and then the final thing. And look, this wasn’t. I don’t think it was anything earth-shattering, but let’s face it: whether we’re talking about the Ravens or the 31 other teams in the modern NFL, a player has a legal, legal, you know, some kind of legal situation pop up, an arrest, accusations, whatever it might be, and typically you just see a blanket statement that reads exactly the same. Same way, and every team does this around the league, and then they just hide behind that statement 100% The one thing that Eric DeCosta said, which I thought was telling of how just how ticked off they are about Rashad Bateman, is he said, you know, because he was asked how much are you prepared for potential discipline? Have you gotten an idea of like is the league gonna put him on the exempt list? Like what you know that that whole you know that whole line of questioning, and he’s and he did say he could have just said well we put out a statement on that and they’ve done that in the past with with players you know that, but he said it’s obviously something we’re very disappointed about that we have to deal with these kinds of things right now. It’s a little bit of a distraction at some points, but we made a statement. We knew about it right away. We contacted the league right away. That was about as close as you’re going to get to. We’re ticked at Rashad Bateman. So, look, is it possible you could maybe interpret that in terms of have they gotten wind from the league that maybe he is going to be going on the commissioners exempt list. I want to say imminently, but sooner than later. I have no idea, but I did find it interesting that he at least acknowledged being very disappointed. Because in this day and age, again, you barely even hear teams acknowledge that much, right? And says a lot about the NFL. Probably says a lot about us as a society, as it pertain. Oh, and how many times they play on
Nestor Aparicio 41:21
Sunday after it goes down, sure. But
Luke Jones 41:24
but I’ll go back to something that I said. He he
Nestor Aparicio 41:26
wasn’t real disturbed when the phone rang out there on Justin Tucker for 10 years. He wasn’t real disturbed when it was Zay Flowers and he had to give Zay Flowers $100 million last month. Sure. So like you know, look, I’m I’m not going to
Luke Jones 41:36
defend any of that, but but I but I would I would say I think those first couple sentences in the in the comments that he made an acknowledgement of how much they’ve actually invested in Rashad Bateman. When you talk about a first round pick, when you talk about a guy that has been salty, frankly, at times about how things have gone here, how you know being unhappy about his contract, and they’ve given him two different extensions. And not that he’s making like insane money, but relative to what his production was last year, he’s making really good money. So they have invested a ton in him financially, and I would even say from a sweat equity perspective, right? First round pick and and all of that, and they have gotten so very little in return, so I have no idea how it’s going to play out. But I did find that interesting that he expressed the level of disappointment that he did, knowing that teams just like to issue that same blanket statement that reads the same anywhere, whether it’s Baltimore, get some hot sauce
Nestor Aparicio 42:39
on it. Right, right, yeah, a little bit of that. Which
Luke Jones 42:42
again, I’m not, I don’t, I’m not saying that to pat the Ravens on the back about it. Let me be very clear. I just found that interesting, and you know, I find it interesting that he doesn’t have hot sauce and other. So, so I do find it interesting that like, if if Prashad Bateman was going to catch 110 balls this this year, whether they’d feel that way about him. Well, it’s the same, you know. Yeah. This goes back to how the Ravens tolerated Chris McAllister until he wasn’t. He wasn’t an All-Pro corner anymore, and then he’s out the door, right? I mean, I’m not saying it’s right, wrong, or anything. It’s it’s how teams proceed. So I did find it interesting that he even said at what little bit he did say. I think that was,
Nestor Aparicio 43:20
you know, what I find fascinating, dude. Going back to Ken Belson’s book right now on the NFL, and I’m literally on, you know, page 200 or whatever. I’m just fingering through it, and I had him on the show a month ago. Great piece, by the way. If you want to go listen to Ken Belson from the New York Times Athletic, he’s just written a piece, does the business of football, and I’m at the point where they’re doing the knee in 2017, the week my cat died. You and I were together over in London, and the the the notion that Anquan Boldin was a part of the negotiating team and whatever he was playing on some weird team then, like the bucking. He was in camp with some team I had even forgotten that he had actually played with. Was
Luke Jones 44:04
it Buffalo?
Nestor Aparicio 44:05
Buffalo, Buffalo’s Buffalo. Okay, he’s bought. Whatever it was, some weird place. Yeah, and I agree with the Troy Vinsons and like the the the the you know the task force that with the knee and Colin Kaepernick. We’re going back a decade now, and I’m thinking that’s the kind of guy they used to have around here that was fighting for social justice, and now they have guys fighting with their girlfriends. Yeah, you know, and that’s to to to a large degree, Dacosta getting that kind of question Labor Day week about a former first round draft pick that he’s given all this money to. He never really had a lot of tough questions about Justin Tucker because they just like washed their hands and threw them out, but like Bateman, I mean, they were kind of counting on him this year, right? Like to some degree, right? Now they’re going to count on Jacoby Lane, and you know Eric’s going to be a genius if he catches 64 balls and is a part of this offense, right? Because he drafted in third round. Like, look what I did. Tried 30 years to draft a third-round wide receiver, could never do it. There’s a long list of Clarence Moors, and the road is littered. But I just brought up Bolden. It’s just sort of like you never had to worry about that sort of stuff there, right? And a million things on Eric DeCosta’s plate right now. Having a first-round draft pick that he’s given money to embarrass him, it’s probably pissed them off. I would agree with that.
Luke Jones 45:24
Yeah, and and let me be very clear. I mean, I don’t want to be overly dramatic about the contract. It’s you know, it was what last year he signed a three-year, $36 million extension. The the cap numbers are pretty favorable right now. They can get out of this, which, regardless of what happens with the legal situation, if he doesn’t have, if he has another season similar to last year, he’ll definitely be gone. Because then you’ll just say, “Well, you know, you’re just not good. But imagine if your employer had paid you $50 million over the last five years, and you’ve been semi-productive by any measurement, by any measurement inside the building, outside the
Nestor Aparicio 46:01
building, whatever would be, and then you go, and the police show up after I’ve paid you $50 million to be my employee. It should, it’s it’s an effing describ. All of it, it’s insane. Like when I put it to you like that, when I bring it to you in real terms, Joe Sixpack listening to this, anybody out on YouTube, listen wherever. If your employer paid you $50 million, and the cop showed up and you embarrassed them, and you know whatever, your employer has every right to be pissed off at you.
Luke Jones 46:35
Yeah, um, and and to be clear, he hasn’t been paid that much to this point in his career, but he’s been paid plenty. He had 19 catches last year.
Nestor Aparicio 46:43
19 catches. 19,
Luke Jones 46:44
19. So, yeah, you can you can certainly get the idea that the Ravens are very disappointed in that situation, not happy. We will see how it plays out. Three players. You know, we we talked about this a little bit a few days ago. Three players in the league were placed on the commissioners exempt list at the end of the preseason. We’ll see what happens with Bateman. I don’t know if that’s an option or you just the the league. But he’s not
Nestor Aparicio 47:10
playing Indianapolis next week. Matapika’s not playing. Bateman’s
Luke Jones 47:14
playing.
Nestor Aparicio 47:14
He’s going to play. Okay, all right. No, no, he’s
Luke Jones 47:16
not. He’s not on the commissioners exempt list. But we’re I I was just
Nestor Aparicio 47:20
we have concerns. Okay,
Luke Jones 47:21
I was just looking with hearing the tone of those comments. It just made me wonder a little bit if maybe something’s coming. He caught 19
Nestor Aparicio 47:30
balls in 17 games last year, so if he’s going to play, I mean, he better catch four balls for 53 yards. Yeah, so they see Jacoby Lane’s going to, right? Yeah, I mean
Luke Jones 47:40
Jacoby Lane’s going to get opportunities regardless, but you’d rather be in a position where you’re not 1,000% counting on Jacoby Lane as the number two. But you know, with Bateman, who knows? I mean, we don’t know, but we’re going to see how it plays. Baker is the
Nestor Aparicio 47:53
other thing, right there. Yeah,
Luke Jones 47:55
Jake Moody has been added to the practice squad. Eric, you know, he. I did find it interesting that he he made clear. I mean, Randy Brown’s the one evaluating kickers of you know like so. There’s certainly. By the way, Google Randy
Nestor Aparicio 48:10
Brown, freedom, fuel, gas, Trump, just New Jersey. Google that. Go ahead and and wonder how this guy is running around on the sidelines coaching kickers here, but I mean
Luke Jones 48:22
Eric. Eric echoed while we were on Judas Priest, not Judas Priest, jurisprudence. Sorry about that. We’ll get on the Judas Priest next week. Sorry about that. But Eric echoed what we’ve heard from Jesse Minter. It’s like, look, Tyler Loop can be really good in practice and and make all these kicks in a practice setting. You got to make them in games, so I don’t know. I’ll say this: I fully expect Tyler Loop to be the Week One kicker. I have no idea what’s going to happen beyond that, right? And it’s going to come down to how does he do? Does he make all his kicks? He’s going to be kicking. I, I mean, I guess hypothetically the roof could be open in Indy because it’s September 13, but if he misses a guy, can
Nestor Aparicio 49:02
watch the Colts out here, friendly heart of the Midwest. If
Luke Jones 49:06
he misses a kick, certainly if he misses more than one kick, I think we know where that’s heading. And then at that point, Jim Irsay can watch the Colts. Yeah, yeah. But but then at that point, it’s well, can Jake Moody make kicks? And then you know, like it can be, this can be a cycle. The Ravens have not dealt with this very often in their history, but boy, that’s not a situation that I feel overly great about. Beyond what you’ve mentioned on a number of occasions, which I agree with, but I’m not going to just dismiss the idea of not having a good kicker. That you hope you’re scoring a lot of touchdowns, so it doesn’t matter quite as much that you don’t have a lot of confidence in your kicker at this point, but we’ll see how that plays out as well. But yeah, those those were kind of the those were kind of the big takeaways. And again, that nothing all that earth shattering in any of those departments.
Nestor Aparicio 49:55
Ever since I brought up Randy Brown and jurisprudence and Judas Priest, all. All I can see is Randy Brown and start singing “Breaking the Law, Breaking the Law. By the way, Mike Brohart’s been too busy to come on. Want to give a shout out to my friends at the Bay Rock and the Bay. I’ve been inking a piece on WBAL and WMAR and the Bay and the lack of media in the city and what’s going on, so I got things happening. But the 28th anniversary of our radio station was this month. We are celebrating with 28 musical memories. It’s going to start with Kiss at number 28. I don’t want to give too much away, but we’re going to count them down over the next 14 weeks, and then we’re going to have our 35th anniversary of actually being on the on the air. And I’m doing a whole music thing because I don’t think baseball’s going to play next spring. I’m a little concerned about that, and people dig my music story. So we’re having a good time telling music stories around here. We’re going to tell all sorts of stories next week about crab cakes and crabs. I don’t know the Peach Melba’s still going to be on Acosta’s. I had dinner Acosta’s and Timonium the other night after the Orioles made me vomit after that the Colorado loss. It’s all brought to you by friends at the Maryland Lottery. I’ll have Raven Scratch off to give away at Costas and Dundalk on the 11th. GBMC sending us out on the road. Farnham and Dermer sending us out on the road as well. 24th in the morning, we’re going to be at State Fair in Catonsville. Then we’re going to get back to Pizza Johns later on this month. Koco’s next month. Fishmonger’s Daughter in early October as well. And getting out on the road, we get some new sponsors. Got the Orioles playing all weekend. Luke will be out at the ballpark, and at some point next Sunday, actually next Wednesday, they’ll start playing football in the National Football League. Then Thursday they’ll play in Australia, and Friday they’ll play in Madrid, and then they’ll play in Brazil later this month. We got football in the brain, and I’ll be writing. Luke will be writing. You can find it all out at Baltimore Positive. I am Nestor. He is Luke. We are WNST AM 1570 Towson, Baltimore. Happy Labor Day to everybody out there laboring. I’ll be working all weekend. That’s why I haven’t shaved. We’re Baltimore Positive. Stay with us.
