OWINGS MILLS, Md. โ Free safety Ed Reed was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day on Thursday as the Ravens moved closer to their AFC championship meeting with the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Reed injured his left ankle in the Ravensโ divisional playoff victory over Houston, but both he and coach John Harbaugh have downplayed the significance of the injury. The 10th-year safety is not considered to be in any danger of missing Sundayโs game against Tom Brady and the explosive New England offense.
Speaking of Brady, the New England quarterback return to practice as a full participant a day after sitting out with a left shoulder injury. The Patriotsโ injury report remained unchanged other than the change in Bradyโs status as 14 players were limited in Thursdayโs workout.
Wide receiver Wes Welker, tight end Aaron Hernandez, and safety Patrick Chung were among the notables who were limited.
