EPISODE 257: Leibovich discusses the legacy of Donald Trump in Washington

We wish we’ve could’ve invited one of our favorite New York Times writers up to Baltimore from D.C. for a proper crab cake at Faidley’s or some chicken and waffles at State Fare but this proved to be a great, lengthy visit with the author of Nestor’s favorite sports book, “Big Game.”

Mark Leibovich always provides insights from Washington that only a guy who wrote “This Town” could provide. This was a deep dig on Washington, the National Football League and sports in America. And how to manage an election during a plague.

As Don Mohler always points out: it’s never a straight line with our guests or platform. Just two curious people seeking deeper knowledge and wisdom from wise people. We’re about to bring forward a wide variety of guests and topics as we navigate all of the aspects of life during a pandemic.

Because we haven’t been able to sit down and eat a proper crab cake at Faidley’s at Lexington Market or have some chicken and waffles at State Fare in Catonsville with our guests, we have been doing one longish episode rather than our customary three shorter blocks of conversation.

Clearly, we voted in June. And we hope you are ready to vote again in November!

We are all in this together and this is a time to educate, unite and keep each other safe. But we also have some extra time to read and learn and educate ourselves in many ways.

We will continue to produce high-quality, intelligent conversations with thought leaders as our citizens try to readjust to this pandemic during the summer at Baltimore Positive.

Please subscribe to Baltimore Positive and stay with us.

We’ll try to keep you cool.

Orioles giving "chase" in AL race to the bottom of the wild card

Can the Baltimore Orioles still make a playoff run? Well, sure, when you're only a few games back of the final (and lowly) AL Wild Card slot but as Luke Jones and Nestor witness these defensive flaws and swiss cheese bats, they wonder aloud about the real destiny of Gunnar Henderson now that Adley Rutschman has been dispatched to Boston.
