Brash and always one to move to the beat of a different drum, McAlister ruffled feathers during his 10 years in Baltimore, but he was still the best cornerback in franchise history and enjoyed a few years as one of the best in the NFL as a three-time Pro Bowl selection.
He was the No. 1 corner the Baltimore defense lacked as it began to rise in the late 1990s and was paired with Starks to form one of the better duos in the NFL for a three-year stretch. One of four Ravens defenders to grab an interception in Super Bowl XXXV, McAlister is third behind Ed Reed and Ray Lewis on the franchise’s all-time interceptions list.
