The fallout of the COVID-19 crisis has created so many unintended consequences around the globe but one facet of medicine we all need that has been greatly affected has been dentistry and anyone with a basic dental exam over the last six weeks.

Charles Doring joins us from the Maryland State Dental Association to discuss all aspects of the profession and how many local dentists gathered their PPE to send to area hospitals in the early phase of the crisis. When can you get your teeth cleaned again? What happens if you have trauma or an emergency? What will dentists need to do to reopen and safely care for patients?

We had a lot of questions. Good thing we can find experts like Doring to answer them!

Clearly, a lot has changed and it’s happening very quickly – and crisis management has become the key role for all us during the pandemic.

We are all in this together and this is a time to educate, unite and keep each other safe. But we also have some extra time to read and learn and educate ourselves in many ways.
