Nestor has been bugging Don for six months to get Dr. Sonja Santelises on Baltimore Positive and it was well worth the wait.
Now in her fourth year as the CEO of Baltimore City Schools, Santelises attemped to give us an overview of what is happening with education locally and her thoughts about the future here in our community.
This is the finale of our three chats with Santelises, where we focus on how the system is changing and how teachers and parents and the community will continue to confront the many issues and challenges of Baltimore City Public Schools. We also discuss some of the triumphs and success stories coming from our community as well.
We learned a lot and you will, too!
We have taken some time this month to add some “holiday bonus” editions of Baltimore Positive that will be coming your way into December with Marty Schwartz, Debbie Phelps and Isaac Hametz and in addition to our long-form chats with Baltimore City police commissioner Michael Harrison, Speaker of the House Adrienne Jones and the incomparable Wes Moore to start 2020 with bonus positivity.
Nestor and Don are also just released a 100th episode retrospective on Baltimore Positive.
We’d be “thankful” this holiday season if you subscribe to Baltimore Positive and make it a part of your weekly routine!
