seeks contact.

I still don’t.

(And I haven’t found a credible coach or football scout or professional observer to disagree with me.)

But even the critics say it’ll be fun while it lasts!

The Ravens business has been shaken after London. Abandoned PSLs. Empty seats. The Knee. The lack of offensive firepower and productivity only added to the excuses for jumping off the purple ship after two Super Bowls down Pratt Street.

We’re in Year 3 now after London and their business shakeout is very “wait and see” on the team that changed our city’s sports fortunes.

We’ve waited eight months and now it’s time to spin the purple wheel and let’s see where this offense takes us.

And remember: we still have the best kicker in the NFL!

Hey, it’s OK to be skeptical. It’s rational to be skeptical about a team trying to win a Super Bowl in a way that it’s never been done before.

It’s bold. It’s fun. It’s exciting. And it has a real trail of success and promise that carries over from last year.

Every time Lamar Jackson takes off, there’s a different level to his speed and energy.

And every time he takes off, we’ll all be screaming “get down”!

And we all remember what happened to the head of Joe Flacco when he “got down” the last time against the Miami Dolphins and now-departed Kiko Alonso.

The NFL is a violent game.

For now, a chance is all you want in September.

It better start with a win in Miami. The Ravens begin their season on the road against the worst team in the NFL.

Anything less than a 1-0 record on Monday morning would be a cause for civic concern for 2019.
