Marc Roberge O.A.R.

The great Maryland band Of A Revolution was visiting Radio Row at the Miami Super Bowl in 2010 and local music is always better. Anyone who has ever seen O.A.R. on the lawn at Merriweather knows of the magic and mystique…

Nestor Aparicio and his guests reminisce about their concert experiences, with notable mentions including Billy Joel at the Cap Center, Saigon Kick at Bender Arena, and Ryan Adams at Paradiso in Amsterdam. went old enough to get into hammer Jackson. See, no, no, this was at a theater, right? Bender, Bender, American University, Bender and arena, Bender, arena. You know, my saw Bender van, real, for real, the only show I ever saw. Now I’m lying. I saw the bodines there too. He’s a guy, man. Music is cool, a couple 1000 contours. Okay, Matt, back to Matt.

me give you a tip. Okay, this is something that maybe you could be a part of. The best website, the best music website I’ve ever seen, being done right now, Daryl Hall has a website called Live from Daryl house, just going to live. This is Darrell setting up high def cameras in his shed up in upstate New York, in Woodstock, New York, where he lives, and he lives, and he invites cats like you to come to his house and jam. It’s the greatest website I’ve ever said. Matt Nathanson did it, Levon helms doing that too. You know that? No, I didn’t know. Levon helms doing that, man, all right. Well, that’s a great way what’s live from darrell’s house, from Darrell. Matt did it. Matt did it. Smokey Robinson did it. You know? He John, John Oates did it too, yeah, but, I mean, he just bangs it out with T von walk and those guys, and they, they make up some food. It’s like a television. It almost looks like something you’d see on VH one, but you can tell it’s not like Darrell is doing it. No, nobody. He’s in charge. He’s making, like an eye movie type thing. Wow, it’s bad. Ass is bad. And they pick any songs they want to do. Like, if you could sing a song with Daryl Hall, what would it be? You want it? He does your songs, his songs. And then you like, do Terrence Trent Darby, wishing well.

Marc Roberge  02:12

And I would do Ryan Adams songs.

Nestor Aparicio  02:14

You would do Ryan ass. I do I saw Ryan Adams at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. I wasn’t I don’t want to tell you what the air smelled like rocking at Ryan Adams, I saw Ryan, and Brian is

the realist. That’s it. And for me, songwriting, that’s it. He’s it. And I say that comfortably. That guy’s got talent.

Nestor Aparicio  02:33

We’re gonna be all right. Marco bear, oh, eight are of a revolution. I don’t have your merry weather date yet, but I’m sure we’ll get it together working. It was my pleasure to meet you my managers online. There he goes, Man, even though he’s a Redskin fan, I’m gonna shake his hand. We’ll step out tan step out.

Leivovich: On the swamp and racket of The Big Game and bad government

"It's the best book ever written about the modern National Football League," so says Nestor about Big Game. And that's why we love having its author Mark Leibovich back on when his New England Patriots proudly return to Baltimore for some playoff knockout style football. Now with The Atlantic, the longtime political insider for The New York Times is also heavily immersed in Trumplandia and weighs in on the ongoing Epstein saga and the usual D.C. shenanigans.

Gordy pushes the beat to another Grammy nomination

Two-time Grammy Award winning percussionist and Marylander M.B. Gordy returns from Los Angeles to tell Nestor about the beat of his latest – and fourth – Grammy nomination with "Seven Seasons" in the Classical Compendium category.
Hail, hail Halethorpe! A Honey of a spot to shoot pool, watch the game and taste fresh flavor

Hail, hail Halethorpe! A Honey of a spot to shoot pool, watch the game and taste fresh flavor

This stands as a warning to anyone who invites Nestor by their place for the Maryland Crab Cake Tour: you're an invite and a taste away because he's en route to meet more great local folks who want to promote their business. Owner Soo Mi Kang of Honey's in Halethorpe invited us over and must've known that offering "Crabby Toast" would invoke the legend of Charles Markwood Eckman. Competitive billiards, great food and the game is always on at this old-school joint on the south side.
