treatment that I complained about to begin with.

No one likes to be treated like shit.

No one likes to be lied to. No one likes to be lied about.

No one likes to be intimidated with their livelihood at the cost of their integrity or their conscience.

Peter G. Angelos has a long history of treating people poorly. He has a long history of intimidating the media and firing people like Jon Miller and John Lowenstein who dared to be honest about the baseball team.

Just ask around…

I’m just the one guy who has spoken out and been honest with the Orioles fans that he can’t chase off.

I’m not going anywhere.

The sheer volume of lies and the sad P.R. story of Monica Barlow and Greg Bader and WNST over the past decade will be best be told at another time. I sadly shake my head all the time at the Orioles and the community and what the city of Baltimore and the fans of the team have accepted for local ownership. The media cesspool that swirls around the team and MASN and the billions (that’s with a ‘B’) that has funneled through a semi-irrelevant franchise over the past decade is jaw dropping in its greed and avarice.

But no one reports the truth about the team. We get Rick Dempsey, Jim Hunter and Tom Davis with “analysis” that’s so stilted, phony and biased as to be the city’s longest-running Saturday Night Live skit playing out like a WWE broadcast every night into our homes.

But, you can google me and amidst various lies learn more about Free The Birds in 2006 and how Mr. Angelos, his sons and Greg Bader have made me the ISIS of Baltimore sports journalists over the nine years, while stripping me personally of my press credentials after 21 years of covering the Orioles with legitimate press access.

I wrote a book about it and why I did it. It’s right here.

In 2015, I’m a welcomed and respected media member everywhere in North America – except where the Baltimore Orioles play.

And I’ve done sports radio in Baltimore every day of my life since 1991.

Like my track record of human interaction and the tens of thousands of people I’ve surrounded myself with on my journey on the planet – many whom I call “friends” – it speaks for itself.

Peter G. Angelos hates my guts. He took my press pass because he could and it gives him a thrill to inflict pain on me. It’s who he is…

The fact that the Baltimore Orioles intimidate and castrate free speech in the local media is best told through its architect:

There’s a blog at some point in the future with the story of 105.7 and CBS Radio – and their rolling in the sheets with MASN and the Orioles and their lack of credibility at every level – but I’ll save that one. It’s worth more than a sentence but that’s all it deserves today.

So in regard to the Baltimore Orioles, there’s a backstory and it’s a doozy.

And as much as for 24 years I’ve taken phone calls by droves of people who’ve said: “I am done with the Orioles if they don’t _____”. The truth is, if you’re still rooting for the Orioles, giving them money and supporting their deeds, then you’ll never be “done” with
