There is no more polarizing figure in this 2020 Primary Election on the Democratic side in the crowded race for the next Mayor of Baltimore than Sheila Dixon. We have tried to feature all of the candidates who figure to garner double-digit percentage votes on April 28th over the past six months here at Baltimore Positive and Dixon is our final long form conversation.

Sheila Dixon is no stranger to any Baltimore citizen. Her misdeeds are well documented as is her run twice four years ago to once again become the Mayor of Baltimore. In a poll last week featured in The Baltimore Sun, she is considered a frontrunner to win next month.

We sat down for three chats with Dixon recently at Faidley’s Seafood in Lexington Market to discuss her past, present and Baltimore’s future.

We talked a lot about trust and honesty and transparency. We hope you listen and learn. We certainly did…

This is our finale with Dixon, where we discussed the usual mix for all of our mayoral candidates about the future of Baltimore, crime, education, Harborplace and squeegee boys.

No one is covering Baltimore mayoral race better than we are and we appreciate all of our friends sharing our work this week! (It does not go unnoticed!)

Later in the week, we will spend some quality time with Frank Kelly III, who told us about his work with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and lacrosse work throughout the community and at Calvert Hall.

AND A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT IS ALSO COMING LATER THIS WEEK:

HOLD THE AFTERNOON OF TUESDAY, APRIL 14TH FROM 11am-1pm to JOIN US FOR SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL!!!!!

AND MANY MORE TO COME…

We want to thank all of our sponsors, supporters and friends who have allowed this Baltimore Positive platform and movement to become part of your lives and routine. And thank you for sharing our conversations with your community and world!

Hope to see you around Baltimore soon…

Any list of questions for Bisciotti should begin with Tucker – and anything else we've missed since Lamar was drafted

Do you have your own "Dear Steve Bisciotti" list of questions? We do. And we will, as Luke Jones will be in The Castle on Tuesday afternoon as the Baltimore Ravens owner and general manager Eric DeCosta will address (some of) the local media and take some questions about the search for a new coach after the firing of John Harbaugh this week. Plenty of depth here about the culture of the building in Owings Mills and the future leadership of the football operation.

Longtime MLB insider and baseball author Barry Bloom joins Nestor with an offseason primer with Nestor in discussing payrolls, 50 years of labor beefs and what the Orioles new ownership has done to wash away the ghost of Angelos by signing Pete Alonso to a big contract this winter restoring some hope in Baltimore. Now, about the pitching...

The changing games through the years and betting on the future

After the Ravens' sudden elimination and the end of another season, we all need the comfort of old friends. It's a bit of 'Friends and Family' week as Nestor welcomes longtime media cohort and two-decade WNST hockey insider Ed Frankovic back for a 2026 sports reset as Ovechkin remains on the ice, the Ravens search for a head coach and the Orioles try to get baseball fans like us back to Camden Yards. Oh, and "Why does Nestor deserve a press pass?"
