We are continuing to raise the bar at Baltimore Positive all summer long with great guests and meaningful conversations with newsmakers, reporters, politicians and civic-minded folks who want better things for our city and community.
No one has dedicated more time and more words to local issues than C. Fraser Smith, who joined us for three spirited segments filled with knowledge, insight and the history of Baltimore’s renaissance.
This is our first segment, which covered a lot of ground 33 years later on the death of Len Bias and how colleges and universities and sports still haven’t truly figured out solutions.
Our next two podcasts later this week will focus on William Donald Schaefer and the daily miracle of putting our a major, modern newspaper in the golden era of The Baltimore Sun.
Our next few weeks of Baltimore Positive chats are now set:
This Thursday, June 20th we will be at Faidley’s Seafood inside Lexington Market with Mayor Jack Young at 9 a.m.
Next Thursday, we move back to Catonsville for a lunch chat with legendary educator Nancy Grasmick at Jennings Cafe in Catonsville at 11 a.m.
And in a special holiday “double bill,” we’ll be back at Faidley’s Seafood on Tuesday, July 2nd with Matt Gallagher of Goldseker Foundation and legendary Baltimore sports agent, attorney and author Ron Shapiro beginning at 11 a.m. and going through a beautiful summer lunch with crab cakes.
Please follow and enjoy these #BaltimorePositive chats as we continue to discuss ways to improve our community.
And if you see Don or Nestor around town or on social media, let ’em know that you’re listening and viewing our Baltimore Positive chats.
