EPISODE 224: Olesker arrives in time for a Baltimore mayoral political history

In our never ending search for good conversation and great company at Baltimore Positive, we should’ve reached to longtime Baltimore columnist and pundit Michael Olesker a long time ago. But with election ballots in the mailboxes of Maryland voters, this is a perfect time to put the history of 50 years of local politics into perspective with the current Jmore voice of reason.

In lieu of our customary breakfasts at State Fare and crab cakes at Faidley’s that makes our guests linger longer, we have plans to stretch out some media conversations and perspective during this election season while still social distancing as the state of Maryland opens.

We are having important conversations at Baltimore Positive.

It was great hearing the voice of Michael Olesker.

Clearly, we are voting this month. And we want you to vote, too!

We have been hearing from many of the prime candidates in the Democratic race for Mayor of Baltimore over the past two weeks as election ballots arrive in the mail. And as graduations and the Preakness are on hold here and spring arrives, we have been asking many educational and university leaders about the impact of COVID-19 and the future of higher education in America.

But there are also other races to be decided this month, including Baltimore City Council President.

We are all in this together and this is a time to educate, unite and keep each other safe. But we also have some extra time to read and learn and educate ourselves in many ways.

We will continue to produce high-quality, intelligent conversations with thought leaders throughout this pandemic at Baltimore Positive. And we expect to do it at a rapid pace so stick with us and subscribe!

Like all others, we have halted a “live schedule” and will continue to launch our chats as we have them during this crisis. Expect more than less.

Please subscribe to Baltimore Positive and stay with us.

    We were built for this…
