We still greatly miss all of our live visits and long-form chats with our Baltimore Positive guests at State Fare and Faidleyโ€™s from earlier in our Season One of intelligent conversations with community leaders but weโ€™re forging ahead with some of the coolest conversations during a hot, pandemic summer here in the Charm City.

As Don Mohler always points out: itโ€™s never a straight line with our guests or platform. Just two curious people seeking deeper knowledge and wisdom from wise people. Weโ€™re about to bring forward a wide variety of guests and topics as we navigate all of the aspects of life during a pandemic.

This is the conclusion of our two segments with local reporter Pamela Wood, who was furloughed last week at The Baltimore Sun, which meant that Annapolis had one less set of veteran eyes at the State House during a pandemic. Our first chat was cut short by breaking news about the book of Larry Hogan and his comments about Baltimore and Freddie Gray. We followed up with Wood and continued our chat about her job in Annapolis and how the Governor is operating during the pandemic.

Because we havenโ€™t been able to sit down and eat a proper crab cake at Faidleyโ€™s at Lexington Market or have some chicken and waffles at State Fare in Catonsville with our guests, we have been doing one longish episode rather than our customary three shorter blocks of conversation.

Given the current state of America in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and protests on our streets and throughout the world, we will be focusing on race and the future moving forward in many of our upcoming August episodes.

Clearly, we voted last month. And we hope you voted, too, and are ready to vote again in November!

We are all in this together and this is a time to educate, unite and keep each other safe. But we also have some extra time to read and learn and educate ourselves in many ways.

We will continue to produce high-quality, intelligent conversations with thought leaders as our citizens try to readjust to this pandemic during the summer at Baltimore Positive.

Please subscribe to Baltimore Positive and stay with us.

Weโ€™ll try to keep you cool.
