EPISODE 264: Johnson discusses Obama family legacy and impact on Biden campaign

We interrupt our special Election Week of podcasts and wise conversations to bring you a very timely discussion about the legacy of Barack and Michelle Obama in the aftermath of Monday’s speech by the First Lady at the Democratic National Convention.

Dr. Jason Johnson of MSNBC was fresh off “The Morning Joe” when he joined us to discuss all things election, conventions, the myth of “undecided” voters and the day he was in Charleston when Obama broke into “Amazing Grace.”

Very compelling chat here with the Morgan State professor at the School of Global Journalism and Communication.

We’ll get back to helping you get a ballot to vote here in Maryland later in the week.

As we begin our merger of WNST.net and Baltimore Positive this fall, we’re about to bring forward a wide variety of guests and thought leaders and topics as we navigate all of the aspects of life during a pandemic. Because we haven’t been able to sit down and eat a proper crab cake at Faidley’s at Lexington Market or have some chicken and waffles at State Fare in Catonsville with our guests, we have been doing one longish episode rather than our customary three shorter blocks of conversation.

Clearly, we voted in June. And we hope you are ready to vote again in November!

We are all in this together and this is a time to educate, unite and keep each other safe. But we also have some extra time to read and learn and educate ourselves in many ways.

We will continue to produce high-quality, intelligent conversations with wisdom from wise leaders as our citizens try to readjust to this pandemic during the summer at Baltimore Positive.

Please subscribe to Baltimore Positive and stay with us.

We’ll try to keep you cool.
