If you have been following our Baltimore Positive journey since the spring, you know that one name and one organization have been mentioned repeatedly by many of our esteemed guests and local leaders. Many of our brightest minds have told us that Sarah Hemminger of Thread is a local leader in changing the lives of young people in Baltimore.

Despite being a self-described โ€œintrovert,โ€ Don Mohler and Nestor Aparicio managed to get two hours of incredible detail about the concept and implementation of Thread, Hemmingerโ€™s evolving organization designed to take at-risk 9th graders and provide a resource that will get them to high school graduation.

Let Sarah Hemminger tell you about her special relationship with Maurice, a young man she met 15 years ago in beginning Thread in final of three chunky, emotional, eye-opening segments.

This is why we did Baltimore Positiveโ€ฆ

Dear Catie Griggs: When Orioles fans ask why I donโ€™t have an Orioles media credential, Iโ€™m sending them to you for answers

Iโ€™m pulling for you to fix the Orioles on-and-off the field, even if you continue the bizarrely petty Angelos family tradition of willfully, purposely and strategically mistreating me and restricting a legitimate professional working local media member from asking youโ€ฆ
