In keeping with our theme of local issues and local solutions, it was our pleasure to welcome Madame Chair Maggie McIntosh to our set at Faidley’s Seafood in Lexington Market for a spirited three-part about serving Baltimore and our future.

McIntosh has served in the Maryland House of Delegates since 1992 and we were delighted to bring her three decades of service and local political wisdom to our airwaves.

We’ll get into her enduring fight for the LBGTQ community and her fight for Kirwan and education reform but first we’ll begin with her first career as an art teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools and her work with Senator Barbara Mikulski.

We have taken some time this month to add some “holiday bonus” editions of Baltimore Positive that will be coming your way in December with Debbie Phelps, Cheryl Bost, Mike Ertel, Joe Giacalone, Isaac Hametz, Marty Schwartz and Frank Kolarek in addtion to our long-form chats with Thiru Vignarajah and the incomparable Wes Moore.

OUR UPCOMING TAPING SCHEDULE:

(Yes…you are invited to join us!)

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21: We are back at State Fare in Catonsville for an powerful doubleheader with Maryland Speaker of The House Adrienne Jones at 10 a.m. and Baltimore City Schools C.E.O. Sonya Santelise at 11:30 a.m.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12: New Baltimore police commissioner Michael Harrison joins us at Faidley’s Seafood in Lexington Market at noon.

We want to thank all of our sponsors, supporters and friends who have allowed this Baltimore Positive platform and movement to become part of your lives and routine. And thank you for sharing our conversations with your community and world!

Hope to see you around Baltimore soon!

Do you have your own "Dear Steve Bisciotti" list of questions? We do. And we will, as Luke Jones will be in The Castle on Tuesday afternoon as the Baltimore Ravens owner and general manager Eric DeCosta will address (some of) the local media and take some questions about the search for a new coach after the firing of John Harbaugh this week. Plenty of depth here about the culture of the building in Owings Mills and the future leadership of the football operation.

Longtime MLB insider and baseball author Barry Bloom joins Nestor with an offseason primer with Nestor in discussing payrolls, 50 years of labor beefs and what the Orioles new ownership has done to wash away the ghost of Angelos by signing Pete Alonso to a big contract this winter restoring some hope in Baltimore. The changing games through the years and betting on the future

After the Ravens' sudden elimination and the end of another season, we all need the comfort of old friends. It's a bit of 'Friends and Family' week as Nestor welcomes longtime media cohort and two-decade WNST hockey insider Ed Frankovic back for a 2026 sports reset as Ovechkin remains on the ice, the Ravens search for a head coach and the Orioles try to get baseball fans like us back to Camden Yards. Oh, and "Why does Nestor deserve a press pass?"
