IN: Haloti Ngata, Chris Canty, Marcus Spears, Arthur Jones, Brandon Williams, Terrence Cody
OUT: *DeAngelo Tyson, Cody Larsen
NON-FOOTBALL INJURY LIST: Kapron Lewis-Moore (will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season)
Skinny: Tyson appears to be the primary victim of the improved depth along the defensive line as there are six ahead of him and versatile linebackers who will see time on the defensive line in certain sub packages. Larsen had a solid summer and could find a spot on the practice squad.
LINEBACKERS (9)
IN: Daryl Smith, Elvis Dumervil, Courtney Upshaw, Terrell Suggs, Arthur Brown, Josh Bynes, John Simon, Pernell McPhee, Albert McClellan
OUT: *Nigel Carr, Brandon Copeland
PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO PERFORM LIST: Jameel McClain (will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season)
INJURED RESERVE: Adrian Hamilton (out for the season with a wrist injury), D.J. Bryant (suffered a significant knee injury in the preseason finale)
Skinny: Bryant suffered a serious knee injury against the Rams and will likely land on injured reserve after a solid first half of play. The improving Carr could be on the practice squad for the second straight year, but there are too many inside linebackers ahead of him to award him a place on the 53-man roster.
CORNERBACKS (5)
IN: Lardarius Webb, Jimmy Smith, Corey Graham, Chykie Brown, *Marc Anthony
OUT: None
SUSPENDED: Asa Jackson (will be suspended for the first eight games of the regular season)
Skinny: Depth is a mild concern here after a shaky preseason by Brown and the underwhelming performance of the seventh-round rookie Anthony. The Ravens should be on the lookout for a veteran corner with good special-teams ability if one happens to shake free somewhere else on cut-down day.
SAFETIES (4)
LOCK: Michael Huff, Matt Elam, James Ihedigbo, *Anthony Levine
OUT: *Omar Brown, Brynden Trawick
SUSPENDED: Christian Thompson (will be suspended for the first four games of the regular season)
Skinny: Neither Levine nor Brown had flawless nights in the Baltimore secondary, but the former appears to be the better special-teams player by a small margin. It’s almost too close to call as both have served on starting special-teams units this preseason.
SPECIALISTS (3)
IN: Sam Koch, Morgan Cox, Justin Tucker
OUT: None
Skinny: If only the Ravens were this rock solid at all position units.
