OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Left tackle Ronnie Stanley and cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Jimmy Smith were among the five Ravens players sitting out Wednesday’s practice ahead of the Week 6 meeting with Philadelphia.

All three were on last week’s injury report before ultimately playing against Cincinnati, but Stanley continues to nurse the shoulder injury that sidelined him for Week 4. Stanley didn’t miss any practices last week and played every offensive snap except the final kneel-down in the 27-3 win over the Bengals. This marks the second straight week Peters (thigh) and Smith (knee) have missed Wednesday’s practice.

Having played extensively at both safety and cornerback so far this season, Smith played most of his 52 snaps against the Bengals as an outside corner in both the nickel and dime packages. The 32-year-old has embraced the new hybrid role in his 10th season with Baltimore.

“It’s been fun. I get to do different things,” Smith said. “I play tight ends, drop down in coverage from safety, play some corner — something I’m pretty used to. Lately though, since Tavon [Young] went down, I’ve been playing a lot more corner, so the role has kind of shifted back. But I’m comfortable doing whatever they ask me to do.”

Starting right guard Tyre Phillips returned to the practice field on a limited basis after missing all of Week 5 with a shoulder injury. The 2020 third-round pick was replaced by the combination of Patrick Mekari and Ben Powers against the Bengals.

Veteran wide receiver and special teams standout Chris Moore (finger/thigh) was a limited participant after missing his fifth straight game to begin the season.

As expected, quarterback Lamar Jackson practiced fully and wasn’t even listed on Wednesday’s injury report. Both he and head coach John Harbaugh had said he would practice all week after he missed two workouts due to a sore knee and a stomach bug last week.

“I’m good. I’m way better than I was last week,” Jackson said prior to Wednesday’s practice. “No illness, no stomach aches, nothing like that.”

Though not noted on the injury report because he’s currently on the practice squad, veteran safety Marcus Gilchrist left the field at the end of the media viewing portion of practice with an apparent ailment on Wednesday. It’s unclear what happened to the 31-year-old, but his status is something to monitor after he was elevated to play 20 defensive snaps in the dime package against Cincinnati last Sunday.

The Eagles were without seven players for their Wednesday practice — a list including three-time Pro Bowl right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle) — but former Pro Bowl wide receivers DeSean Jackson (hamstring) and Alshon Jeffery (foot) took part on a limited basis. Jackson hasn’t played since Week 3 while Jeffery is hoping to make his 2020 season debut and hasn’t played in a game since Week 14 of last season.

Rookie inside linebacker Patrick Queen was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after collecting nine tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries — one of those returned 53-yards for a touchdown — in Week 5.

Sunday will mark the first game of the season in which the Ravens will play in front of several thousand fans as Lincoln Financial Field is now permitted to host a capacity of 7,500 people. That number includes players, coaches, team and stadium personnel, and media in addition to fans.

“Obviously, we’ve played in front of a lot more fans than 7,500,” Harbaugh said. “We should be fine, but we haven’t done it lately. It will be different from the last couple of weeks. I just don’t know what an impact it’ll have [or] how loud it’ll be. We’ll just go in there and play the game and see how it plays out.”
