Mark, a Maryland native, shared his fond memories of attending Orioles games with his family and the band’s connection to sports, including their LP “Fairweather Johnson.”

When Darius Rucker and the boys from South Carolina put the band back together in the summer of 2019, the Maryland-bred guitarist checked in with Nestor to talk about life in and out of Hootie.
Over the years, the local sports and rock and roll connection of Nestor and Hootie And The Blowfish has led to several visits from the boys from South Carolina via the D.C. burbs. It gives him a chance to crush them about the Redskins.
