What about W en s t tasks in Baltimore and Baltimore positive we were positively get it done up here. Weโ€™re Pappas. They just put the sign out front. I mean, I was here with the temporary sign. We are in the green Briar shopping center. Itโ€™s all courtesy of our friends at the Maryland lottery. And Iโ€™ve been given up so many of these tickets. Thatโ€™s winners up here, up to 10,000 bucks on these puppies here. Iโ€™ll also have these later in the month on the 27th. Weโ€™re going to be captain Larryโ€™s in Federal Hill, downtown and then on the 28th back and fade these in the morning. We sort of had to skip out on families as we conduct me day. But no skip out here at Pappas, we had an Odell Beckham Jr. Press Conference. Weโ€™ve had an Oreo game thatโ€™s still in progress here and moving into the afternoon people eating great crab cakes and a lot of friends up here but Boykin families at the bar trying to get me a lubricated the right way. But Iโ€™ve been to the Greenbrier shopping center a couple of times in my past, because I like Philadelphia pretzels. So I know the Philadelphia pretzel place is up here because a lot of other community places and everybody knows Iโ€™m into like fitness and Iโ€™m in the local and and all this stuff. Thatโ€™s why I do the Maryland crab cake Tour presented by the Maryland lottery and when their nation and my dear friend Kristen Doran, who helped me with my website years ago, said thereโ€™s this couple, they have like a business there and they have this thing and theyโ€™re nice people and you should reach to them. So donโ€™t be me reaching out to them this week. And theyโ€™re like, or they donโ€™t like some anniversary or theyโ€™re doing

Natalie Conley  01:24

so Bobby just celebrated his 50th birthday on April 10. So they flew to me. All right, mean. Yeah. So theyโ€™re staying warm or theyโ€™re itโ€™s colder right now. Right? Theyโ€™re staying in the cliffs. Itโ€™s a beautiful resort. Okay. Yeah. So hereโ€™s the big 50 the Big Five out. All right,

Nestor Aparicio  01:40

well, Natalie is here in their stead today. And thereโ€™s several businesses involved local, and give me the story about your play. You said youโ€™re three paces away, because I saw Bobby Angel put pictures up in here in Pappas, this was an Applebeeโ€™s forever

Natalie Conley  01:55

right now.

Nestor Aparicio  01:56

So I mean, youโ€™ve been in the neighborhood for a while eat good neighbor is even better in his neighborhood right now at Baptist here. But when a new tenant comes in and given support, thatโ€™s your community organization. We

Natalie Conley  02:06

are so happy to have Pappas, right. Local because we definitely want to partner up with them. But weโ€™re right at stay in line right catty corner,

Nestor Aparicio  02:14

what is staying in lunch? Thatโ€™s like my kind of fitness joint. So weโ€™re a bar studio.

Natalie Conley  02:18

So I donโ€™t know how to say that. Yeah, big bar benefit. Never got a bar to ours. So I

Nestor Aparicio  02:26

was called a barrier bid bow bar. I didnโ€™t know how to say spa. I know we get that a lot but itโ€™s bar. My sonโ€™s name is ba RR y barre. C, ba RR e right now. So I did. Okay, so what is it?

Natalie Conley  02:37

So okay, so itโ€™s like low impact bodyweight movements. So when you think of bar, youโ€™re gonna think of like a ballet bar. We do have. We do have some classes that have ballet elements. But for the most part, everyone has their own take on bar. Iโ€™m a

Nestor Aparicio  02:55

hot yoga guy. But when I say that, people go Yoga, you know, whatever. Iโ€™ve done all kinds of yoga. Currently, I have a back issue. I like vinyasa. I like where and I like heat. So if itโ€™s not a hot room, Iโ€™m probably not going to love it. Right? I like to sweat instantly. I mean, the place I go and Iโ€™m not going to shout out. They donโ€™t keep it as hot as I want to keep it Somebodyโ€™s always yelling I want it hotter. Right. But I donโ€™t want Vikram I donโ€™t want 26 into Iโ€™m not looking for structure, right? Iโ€™m looking for like music, Wavy Gravy, some candles and some serious sweat.

Natalie Conley  03:32

We do offer yoga at the studio, but itโ€™s not hot yoga. What

Nestor Aparicio  03:35

is fair what?

Natalie Conley  03:38

I mean, I did Zumba last

Nestor Aparicio  03:40

week. So I went home. I didnโ€™t do it. No, I did a segment on it.

Natalie Conley  03:42

Oh, I saw that. I actually will.

Nestor Aparicio  03:44

So Gigi is my friend. So she Iโ€™m trying to figure out. I have shoes that are cross training shoes. And I only I only do hot yoga. Iโ€™m not anything else. So I want to try to like mix some other fonts something that might be fun. Yeah, no, I would never have known hot yoga was fun unless I did it. But it doesnโ€™t sound it doesnโ€™t sound appealing. You donโ€™t I mean, we get in a room. We get on a mat and He sweat our asses off. He took a lot of water. Right and you feel good. Right? Right. You know, maybe but itโ€™s not for everybody.

Natalie Conley  04:14

And Yoga is not for everyone. But everyone that has tried bar I will say weโ€™re gonna sweat. Yes. Youโ€™re gonna sweat. Absolute sweat. I like it. Yes. And I mean, we can always turn off the tongue for you. Is your music. Oh, yes, thereโ€™s great music. Itโ€™s kind of depends on the instructor. They each have their own style of what they like to do and Iโ€™m sure you see that in yoga.

Nestor Aparicio  04:31

See, I purposely did this for radio purposes. I knew you were coming. I sort of Googled you last night on Facebook and your girlfriendโ€™s and your friend to do it. But like the I didnโ€™t even know how to say ba RR E and I thought Iโ€™m gonna learn about it just the way I do it. I do it on the radio like this. I donโ€™t like really want to. I could have seen a video. So what is it like in a movement way says

Natalie Conley  04:54

it a lot. I think a lot of pauses a lot of squats, a lot of repetitive moves. menstrual. Yeah, so it has. So if you look up the definition of bar, youโ€™re going to see that it has some yoga and some mat Pilates elements in it. So have you ever seen

Nestor Aparicio  05:09

the Pilates in on me? Okay. I went to a legitimate Pilates studio like 20 years ago.

Natalie Conley  05:15

And performers with the room.

Nestor Aparicio  05:19

Right, right, right. Right. Right. It was a big thing. Now I do more like in yoga, weโ€™re doing more like, head up, legs up. core work. Just core floor core work,

Natalie Conley  05:32

right. So bars a toe, itโ€™s a total body workout. Youโ€™re not just working on your youโ€™re not just on the mat. Youโ€™re not just on the bar, 60 minutes 90, what are we looking at? So we have we do have a 45 minute class or those who have a tight schedule, but most classes are 60 minutes. Okay. Yeah. And then we our instructors have different backgrounds. So have you ever taken a Les Mills class? I donโ€™t want a single body Les Mills like a body pump class? No. Okay, so Body Pump is itโ€™s more of like cardio hit training, but some of our instructors have that background. So they incorporate some of those things in the class. So every class is super stylistic to the instructor, but they all have the same certification the same. They do the same things like theyโ€™re on theyโ€™re on the mat doing the core work, theyโ€™re doing the passes on on the

Nestor Aparicio  06:15

cardio HIIT yoga class for the first time in my life. 10 days ago, 12 days ago, and it was it was okay, I just, Iโ€™m addicted to vinyasa. Iโ€™m in the movie language like and thatโ€™s why I like Gigi less because of my Zoom. She like you can move anywhere you want. I didnโ€™t like structure of step aerobics, and I donโ€™t like a seat on my crotch. Like, like spinning lakes. I donโ€™t. I donโ€™t like it. Itโ€™s not fun for me. Itโ€™s not something I want to go back and do. So I love hot yoga. I love vinyasa. I love walking. Iโ€™m a walker. I like I walk everywhere. I miss living downtown for that. But Iโ€™m looking for that next thing. Yeah, Iโ€™m looking for what is the next thing I might fall in love. Right, right. Well

Natalie Conley  06:56

definitely come check us out. We would love to have you. And we also are offering fly dance. So our lead bar instructor itโ€™s similar to you a yoga. I mean, Iโ€™m sorry. Itโ€™s similar to Zumba. And as you know, Zumba is Latin music, our fly dance classes, all hip hop music. So itโ€™s super fun. Tina, our lead bar instructor, she is the only she has the only certification and fly dance in the state of Maryland. So itโ€™s a brand new certification.

Nestor Aparicio  07:22

Iโ€™m gonna have to google fly dance. Now,

Natalie Conley  07:24

I will show you the TIC TOCs after theyโ€™re amazing. Youโ€™re gonna love it. If you love to dance. And those are the things that youโ€™d like to do. You would absolutely love it.

Nestor Aparicio  07:33

For me, because Iโ€™m 50 Iโ€™ll be 55 in October, my wife just turned 50 And we the plate change so many things about being close to people. You know, I havenโ€™t, I would have hugged you and said hello. And they are shaking. Iโ€™m shaking your hand. I touching people, right? The dancing part of the world being shut down and coming back out. Now that weโ€™re weโ€™re old farts I had a friend over in Europe opening an old school disco like his own rock star. To give people that are 55 a place to go and dance to that music. Right? Not Hip Hop not in a club where everybodyโ€™s 21 and throwing up on my shoes, right? You know, Iโ€™ve done I mean, I travel I go out I go to bars. Iโ€™m not after 11 At night, nothing good happens. But like going someplace to dance. Like, I donโ€™t. I feel like thereโ€™s a lot of places people strum the guitar. I love rock and roll. But like dancing a dance thing, that if you can incorporate that into working out, you wouldnโ€™t feel like well, I gotta go to the club on Saturday night.

Natalie Conley  08:31

Like, and itโ€™s very structured. And I love to dance. Yeah. So Iโ€™ll be I will be ending this. Yes. So itโ€™s very structured. So Tina will break down the steps on an eight count. Youโ€™ll start from the top with just that eight count. And then by the end of the class, youโ€™re putting a whole dance together, and youโ€™re constantly moving. So youโ€™re constantly, you know, burning calories, breaking that sweat, getting that heart rate up. So itโ€™s definitely a great, itโ€™s a great class. Iโ€™m super excited it the fish of the official start date of fly dance is actually April 20. So next week, all right.

Nestor Aparicio  09:03

Well, Natalie caliche here from inline theyโ€™re in the parking lot here Greenbrier shopping center. Weโ€™re at Papist courtesy the Maryland lottery. Iโ€™m giving it did anybody win we getting winners. I mean, Iโ€™m trying to figure out like, last week, I had a $50 winner of faith. Wow. Taking pictures with people. People trying to buy me drinks like nope, canโ€™t Donโ€™t do that. Donโ€™t do that. spend it on yourself. Youโ€™re a winner, the winner. So the original invitation is Bobby angel to come out and be a part of because of Kristen. Theyโ€™re out of town. They have a restaurant to write they have like a whole health thing. Like Iโ€™ve been checking out he did the New Zealand is happening in your company above and beyond whatโ€™s happening.

Natalie Conley  09:40

So stay in line is just one avenue that we have stay in line. Stay in line bar. So Bobby and Angel are also ambassadors in the local. Theyโ€™re partners with Zach Sasha at chef sack. Have you been to look

Nestor Aparicio  09:55

I have not. They have crab cakes. Theyโ€™re right at any place with the crab coming Iโ€™m calling weโ€™re coming

And then Bobby has full time his full time job on top of his many other jobs is he works at the he is part owner and a mortgage company and Whitemarsh. So he works. Heโ€™s a loan officer works in reverse mortgages. She was a cheerleader right when she was a Ravens cheerleader for many years started cheering when she was 19. So sheโ€™s Pro Bowl cheerleader as well. She went to Pro Bowl, Super Bowl year, the year we won the Super Bowl. She was the Pro Bowl cheerleader,

Nestor Aparicio  10:33

double winner. Yes, double

Natalie Conley  10:34

winner.

Nestor Aparicio  10:36

The Pro Bowl was the Pro Bowl. Yes, it was in a why. Now theyโ€™ve screwed it all up. So she she was the big winner. She was the big one. No, when theyโ€™re back, maybe Iโ€™ll come over local. Weโ€™ll do something over there. Yeah, as far as nondenominational. And I appreciate our friends here. Pappas and our sponsor, weโ€™re gonna have Justin on a little later on. And Tim, talking about the neighborhood. And I know for you guys being here, this place has been packed.

Natalie Conley  10:58

Yes. As the parking lot is packed every day. Weโ€™re worried

Nestor Aparicio  11:01

they wouldnโ€™t they you see where they set me off. I mean, Iโ€™m not set up like a legitimate table, because theyโ€™re worried that like, I wouldnโ€™t be able to have a real table right crazy in here.

Natalie Conley  11:09

It is crazy. And that parking lot. I mean, it hasnโ€™t stopped since the day they open the doors. Iโ€™m blown away.

Nestor Aparicio  11:15

How many years? Have you guys been here?

Natalie Conley  11:16

So we have been? We officially just had our one year April 1. Okay. Yes.

Nestor Aparicio  11:22

So you didnโ€™t live through COVID and all of that. Well? Yeah. I mean, the post side of COVID is staying in shape being you know, like having all that time to yourself. Right. Right. And I think itโ€™s a beautiful thing bringing community together and credit

Natalie Conley  11:36

one that you mentioned in one of our beloved members. We absolutely love her at the studio. She comes Kristen dances. Wow.

Nestor Aparicio  11:45

She mighty Do you want to show the extent Thank you, Kristen. Well, so give her some love. She did a great job with our website as well. We love Kristen Doran and no children and all that Iโ€™ve known Kristin forever and ever. I got involved with her. You talk about how people come together. My wife was diagnosed with leukemia in March of 2014. And the organization that came forward to try to help save her life. There goes my hero, Eric Sauer lives about a mile away, right down in Abington. And so Kristen, was there artists for their website and then she did a baseball for me. I didnโ€™t give a spit tour. I did 30 ballparks in 30 days. And when she did this really awesome logo for me. And then she developed my website for me three half years ago now so we love her. Well shout out to Kristen door. See what happens like a barn raising for me when I come up to Harford County because Iโ€™m like, Who wants to come on the show. And then Mickeyโ€™s like I live five minutes away. Iโ€™ll come over and tell jokes and next thing and then youโ€™re here and we got Chesapeake feline Association as well. Weโ€™re gonna talk about adopting cats because I love cats. And then Barry Glassman former Harford Countyโ€™s he was the Harford County Executive when you guys cut your ribbon a year ago yes, he was he was there. So Glassman has been out with his shepherd form thing and all that but more than that, heโ€™s been down in Annapolis for the session and the session just ended so I want to find out what recreational cannabis being one of the many things going on.

Natalie Conley  13:06

Heโ€™s been a great help with recreational cannabis so Iโ€™m Iโ€™m excited well

Nestor Aparicio  13:09

I plan on talking to him about that he will be on the show Barry glass will be here at 424 20 today heโ€™ll be here on the program look at that itโ€™s 415 but itโ€™s 424 minutes Iโ€™ll be five minutes late thanks for coming by somebody how to find you and find what they need to find pap is first and foremost to find the bar your crabcake but once you get here and you need to work it off and I had a salad for lunch because Iโ€™m hitting a hot Mac tonight yeah things going on next week that are gonna require me to be peak physical condition.
