It’s been gone for a few months and has been transformed and modernized. Where were you when you heard the big news anytime between 2006 and June of this year? Probably somewhere that your phone went off with Ravens or Orioles breaking news from our Luke Jones getting it to you FIRST…

First of all, thanks for remaining with us at WNST through all of our 26 years and into the future with this venerable breaking news text service that has remained trustworthy, timely and authentically gets you real information. And never spam or crud.

As the owner of WNST Baltimore Positive, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your patience this summer as we organized and strategized what we really wanted this service to be capable of in the modern era. As you might know, we were the first ones to really utilize direct texts back in 2006 and signed up with an original provider than has since sold five times to international companies and then folded up in June.

Thousands of you remain with us and we wanted to be able to do this the right way.

My friend Dennis Koulatsos and Koons Baltimore Ford were the only sponsor of the WNST Text Service for almost 18 years and now Bill Cole and Cole Roofing and Gordian Energy Solar has provided sponsorship for the future so we could work with a professional and modern text delivery company called Text Groove. When the previous companies changed hands over the years, we lost our ability to add users and lost some of you because of carrier issues.

Now, you can sign up anytime (and tell your friends) that texting JOIN to 410-821-9678 will add you to the service!

I’m a very available individual if you have any feedback. Welcome aboard and hope you remain here and at WNST-AM 1570 and Baltimore Positive for all of your sports news, information and Weis conversations with intelligent guests.

Profits are up, accountability is down and internal report cards are a no-no for guys like Steve

The NFL continues to rule the sports world even in the slowest of times.
