New York Times baseball writer and author Tyler Kepner has penned a book on the history of October lore. “The Grandest Stage: A History of The World Series” chronicles the most enduring showcase in our country’s history with the grand old game but Nestor wanted to discuss a personal history of his Baltimore Orioles and Kepner’s childhood Philadelphia Phillies and some 1983 and 1993 magic in pretty fare baseball towns.
