While the Ravens are still figuring out what their interior offensive line will look like in 2026, former starting right guard Daniel Faalele became the latest player to follow John Harbaugh to New York.

The 26-year-old Faalele agreed to a one-year deal with the Giants, which makes him the fifth ex-Raven to join Baltimore’s former head coach since the start of free agency. That group also includes tight end Isaiah Likely, punter Jordan Stout, fullback Patrick Ricard, and safety Ar’Darius Washington.

A 2022 fourth-round pick out of Minnesota, Faalele started every game over the last two seasons after winning the right guard job coming out of the 2024 preseason. However, the 6-foot-8, 370-pound lineman faced heavy criticism from media and fans, especially this past season when both he and left guard Andrew Vorhees struggled immensely. For what it’s worth, Pro Football Focus graded Faalele 52nd out of 79 qualified guards in 2025 and 45th out of 77 qualified in 2024.

With Faalele joining the Giants and two-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum signing a record-setting contract with the Las Vegas Raiders last month, the Ravens will now be replacing at least two interior line starters from last year. Vorhees remains on the roster for now, but general manager Eric DeCosta brought back veteran and 2023 starter John Simpson on a three-year, $30 million contract last month to presumably make him the left guard. While 2025 third-round pick Emery Jones Jr. is a logical candidate to compete for the right guard job, center remains wide open with internal candidates including Corey Bullock and veteran newcomers Danny Pinter and Jovaughn Gwyn.

The Ravens will be counting heavily on new offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford to develop and improve an offensive line that all too often looked like a liability in 2025. But given Linderbaum’s departure and the need to better protect two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson after his injury-plagued season, many are clamoring for DeCosta to use at least one early draft pick to fortify the interior offensive line. Baltimore is scheduled to pick 14th in the first round.
