The Ravens hope to return to the playoffs for the sixth time in seven years, but quarterback Joe Flacco will have something else on his mind right around then should it happen.
According to the teamโ€™s official website, Flacco and wife Dana are expecting their third child in January and the quarterback hopes they wonโ€™t be stopping at three. Their first son Stephen is 2 years old while Daniel was born last season.
โ€œIโ€™d be satisfied with five,โ€ Flacco said. โ€œKids are a lot of fun. It would be cooler to have more, but if we got to five and that was it, Iโ€™d be cool with that. Iโ€™m satisfied now, but I want as many as I could have.โ€
If not for the circumstances of their second son being born the morning of last yearโ€™s home opener against Cleveland, many would wonder if Flaccoโ€™s availability could come into question should the Ravens advance to the playoffs, but the quarterback started on that day and led the Ravens to a win. He did skip a minicamp practice to be present for the birth of his first child in 2012.
