OWINGS MILLS, Md. โ€” Trying to regroup from their first 0-2 start in nine years ahead of a challenging trip to Dallas, the Ravens hit the practice field with some prominent players missing on Wednesday.

Head coach John Harbaugh said โ€œitโ€™s not anything majorโ€ among those sitting out for injury-related reasons, but safety Kyle Hamilton headlined the list of absentees as he deals with a back issue. Itโ€™s been a quiet start to the season for the 2023 first-team All-Pro selection, who appeared to be laboring at a couple points during the Week 2 loss to Las Vegas. Hamilton played every defensive snap, finishing with six tackles and being credited with two quarterback pressures by Pro Football Focus.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley also sat out with what was listed as an ankle issue, but head coach John Harbaugh made clear that Stanleyโ€™s Week 3 status isnโ€™t in doubt. Itโ€™s been a refreshingly healthy start to 2024 for the 30-year-old Stanley, who has played very well despite some well-documented penalties over the first two games.

โ€œWeโ€™re working through that with Ronnie. He will be out there Sunday โ€” I can tell you that,โ€ Harbaugh said. โ€œI donโ€™t mind telling you that right now.โ€

Veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (eye/groin) and rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins (neck/concussion) also missed Wednesdayโ€™s practice. The latter was deactivated for the home opener after being involved in a car accident last week.

Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis and offensive lineman Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu were absent for personal reasons on Wednesday.

โ€œWe had a few guys with personal issues, family issues โ€” babies and surgeries and stuff like that with their family, โ€ Harbaugh said. โ€œA couple of guys have some things from the game that we didnโ€™t want to practice them today. Thatโ€™s where weโ€™re at, and youโ€™ll see the injury report.โ€

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was one of three Dallas starters not to practice Wednesday, but NFL Network indicated his ankle issue โ€œsounds like nothing major.โ€ Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs also missed practice with a foot injury, but he โ€œshould be OK,โ€ per a separate NFL Network report.

Iโ€™m pulling for you to fix the Orioles on-and-off the field, even if you continue the bizarrely petty Angelos family tradition of willfully, purposely and strategically mistreating me and restricting a legitimate professional working local media member from asking youโ€ฆ
