Turning their full attention toward a Week 10 trip to New England, the Ravens welcomed back top cornerback Marlon Humphrey into the team facility in Owings Mills on Wednesday morning.

The 2019 All-Pro selection was activated from the reserve-COVID-19 list and expected to take part in a full week of practice after missing Sunday’s win at Indianapolis. Humphrey testing positive for the virus early last week forced seven other Baltimore players to isolate away from the team, but none of those individuals ultimately tested positive or experienced symptoms.

Humphrey was the first Ravens player to test positive for COVID-19 since the start of the season. His return as well as the Tuesday free-agent signing of veteran Tramon Williams will help reinforce a secondary that continues to lose depth as rookie Khalil Dorsey sustained a dislocated shoulder in the 24-10 win over the Colts. Dorsey became the fourth Ravens cornerback to be placed on injured reserve since the start of training camp, joining Tavon Young (knee), Anthony Averett (shoulder), and Iman Marshall (knee).

The 6-foot, 197-pound Humphrey leads the Ravens with four forced fumbles, is tied for second with 2 1/2 sacks, and ranks third with 40 tackles in seven games this season. A 2017 first-round pick from Alabama, Humphrey signed a five-year, $97.5 million contract extension in early October, a deal that made him the second-highest paid cornerback in the NFL.
