OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Wednesday’s injury report provided early confirmation for speculation that linebacker Ray Lewis will miss his fourth straight game on Sunday.
The 12-time Pro Bowl defender continues to battle a turf toe injury and missed Wednesday’s practice as the Ravens began preparations for the Indianapolis Colts. Reports indicate Lewis may try to make his return against the San Diego Chargers next week.
Cornerback Chris Carr (back), center Matt Birk (shoulder), and guard Ben Grubbs (toe) were also listed as non-participants during Wednesday’s practice. Birk and Grubbs were present but were not working during the portion of practice open to the media.

Birk sustained a right shoulder sprain during the second quarter of the Ravens’ 24-10 win over Cleveland but returned shortly after being evaluated in the locker room. Grubbs had not missed a practice since making his return against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 6 after missing six games with a toe injury sustained in the season opener.
For Indianapolis, quarterback Peyton Manning has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game as he continues to recover from neck surgery.
However, tight end Dallas Clark practiced fully and appears set to make his return from a leg injury that’s kept him sidelined since early November.

Now with The Atlantic, the longtime political insider for The New York Times is also heavily immersed in Trumplandia and weighs in on the ongoing Epstein saga and the usual D.C. shenanigans.
