OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Aiming for their fifth straight win in a Monday night tilt at Tampa Bay, the Ravens continue to benefit from good health as they continue their early-season turnaround.

Starters have missed very little action due to injury with Week 7 shaping up to be more of the same as reserve linebacker Malik Harrison (groin), return specialist Deonte Harty (knee), and rotational defensive end Brent Urban (illness) were the only Baltimore players missing from Thursday’s practice. Harrison was the only one of the three to miss last Sunday’s win over Washington.

Slot cornerback Arthur Maulet (hamstring/knee) and defensive tackle Broderick Washington (knee) returned to practice on a limited basis. While Washington was inactive in Week 6, Maulet has yet to be activated after he hurt his hamstring in his first practice upon being designated to return from injured reserve on Oct. 2. The 31-year-old defensive back has been sidelined since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in August and is getting closer to becoming another option for the league’s 31st-ranked pass defense.

The Ravens made a notable addition to their practice squad this week by bringing back veteran linebacker Kristian Welch, who was a special-teams standout for Baltimore from 2020-22. Welch was released by Denver earlier this week and is expected to need little time to become an elevation option for game day.

Baltimore also re-signed 2023 sixth-round offensive lineman Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu to the practice squad after he cleared waivers on Wednesday. Aumavae-Laulu was waived to make room on the 53-man roster for veteran edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue, who had played in each of the last two games as a practice-squad elevation.

The Buccaneers had a more extensive injury report Thursday that was headlined by five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) and starting cornerback Jamel Dean (hamstring) sitting out practice. Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles said Evans is dealing with more of a “nagging” injury while noting that the veteran wideout is “getting better.” Dean injured his hamstring and was ruled out early in last Sunday’s win over New Orleans, leaving his status in major doubt for Week 7.

Below is Thursday’s full injury report:

And we will, as Luke Jones will be in The Castle on Tuesday afternoon as the Baltimore Ravens owner and general manager Eric DeCosta will address (some of) the local media and take some questions about the search for a new coach after the firing of John Harbaugh this week. Plenty of depth here about the culture of the building in Owings Mills and the future leadership of the football operation.
