As Matthew Gallagher of The Goldseker Foundation points out in the early going of Episode 30 of Baltimore Positive, this was a robust conversation about leadership in our city and the significant changes that need to be made.

Gallagher is not a stranger to anyone who has followed local politics and the trail of Martin O’Malley over the past two decades.

Mohler and Aparicio go through the successes – and current failures – of local politics, policies and the future of Baltimore government with a true expert and insider.

This is the finale of three lengthy episodes with Gallagher, Episode 32, which focuses on Gallagher’s mutual love of Baltimore and a true sports government and business conversation about the future of the Orioles here at Camden Yards and the fate of the franchise and ownership.

We are attempting to release one episode of Baltimore Positive every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will try to (mostly) adhere to that schedule heading into the late summer and fall.

We return from our mini-vacation THIS WEEK with current Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski at Jennings Cafe at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 25th. The food will be great and Aparicio finally has stacked the odds with two East Baltimore guys coming to Catonsville for a burger and a roll-up-our-sleeves chat about how counties and cities (must) work together. Come join us and participate in the conversation.

We will have a fully updated #BaltimorePositive schedule later this week for August and beyond with guests Ben Cardin, Ben Jealous and many others coming to our podcasts and videos.

Stay cool. Hydrate. Enjoy your summer!

We’ll keep the Baltimore Positive mojo coming with more guests and sponsors coming aboard to support our efforts!

The June reset for Orioles begins at Fenway

We've seen better baseball from the Baltimore Orioles over the past two weeks and after a 7-3 homestand with some walkoffs and walkovers, Luke Jones and Nestor give the Birds a June "reset" as they head to Fenway Park and then to Skydome in Toronto to tackle more of the AL East, where they hope to make up ground as a sub .500 squad thus far.

When the world lost the outsized spirit that was Arthur Donovan, Nestor turned the WNST airwaves into a public eulogy for the Hall of Fame defensive lineman and Baltimore legend. Another Hall of Famer, Raymond Berry, joined in for the memories and kind words for 'Fatso' and the rest of the Baltimore Colts legends and their legacy in the Charm City and what it meant to catch passes from Johnny Unitas at Memorial Stadium.
