If you have been following our Baltimore Positive journey since the spring, you know that one name and one organization have been mentioned repeatedly by many of our esteemed guests and local leaders. Many of our brightest minds have told us that Sarah Hemminger of Thread is a local leader in changing the lives of young people in Baltimore.

Despite being a self-described “introvert,” Don Mohler and Nestor Aparicio managed to get two hours of incredible detail about the concept and implementation of Thread, Hemminger’s evolving organization designed to take at-risk 9th graders and provide a resource that will get them to high school graduation.

Let Sarah Hemminger tell you about it in our first of three chunky, emotional, eye-opening segments.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26: Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will join us at State Fare in Catonsville at 10 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2: Our U.S. Congressman John Sarbanes from the 3rd District will join us at Faidley’s Seafood in Lexington Market at 11 a.m.
