Yet another educator turned civic activist turned politician who wants to make a difference joined us for a lengthy discussion about many Baltimore Positive issues and local concerns. New Maryland Senate President  Bill Ferguson joined us before his new appointment in late October to replace Thomas V. Mike Miller in Annapolis so our conversation doesnโ€™t reflect his new appointment but certainly speaks volumes as to his appeal from his fellow Democrats throughout the state.

Our conversation covered a lot of ground but our first part allows Ferguson to tell his โ€œwhyโ€ of involvement in local government after beginning his career as a Baltimore City school teacher.

Weโ€™ll get to Kirwan and other significant education issues in the next two parts but we enjoyed hearing Ferguson tell his story.
