With a new Baltimore County Executive coming into focus and a bridge that needs to be federally funded, our favorite Essex attorney and recovering local politician Todd Schuler returns to educate Nestor on the search process and Key Bridge concerns entering a second Trump administration.

Todd Schuler discussed the Baltimore County Executive search process, highlighting the lack of transparency and the public meeting where candidates presented their priorities. He emphasized the importance of the Key Bridge, noting its impact on local businesses and commuters. Schuler mentioned that the federal budget fully funds the bridge, but expressed concerns about the county’s leadership. He also reflected on the political landscape, criticizing the current administration and stressing the need for proactive leadership. Additionally, Schuler discussed the economic and social repercussions of the bridge’s collapse and the importance of community engagement and business investment.

SUMMARY KEYWORDS

Nestor Aparicio  00:00

Welcome home. We are W, N, S, T. Am 1570 task Baltimore and Baltimore positive trying to find my holiday scratch offs. I think I’ve given them all out. So we’re back to Raven scratch off. So I got a handful of these second chances. Have to be in by the 23rd of December. I gotta give all the legalese. It’s all brought to you by the Maryland lottery with the Maryland crab cake tour. It’s also brought to you by Jiffy Lube, multi care, their power loop up, getting ready for football all week long and for the holidays, Pittsburgh, Houston, all that stuff. We’re here at Costas Gina shocks, gonna join us. We had a beautiful visit with Calvin Stadium as well as Pete ramondi, our insurance agent here from Erie and Todd Schuler is next up. Blondel Miller, sure. I said Schuler. Miller, blonde I went through like, the wrong thing. Blondel Miller, Schuler Todd Schuler here, former council manic man, and what’s going on in our county? By the way, we’re picking a new county executive, I guess. I mean, like, I don’t even really think to begin that with you, I was gonna be like, Hey, happy holidays. How about those Ravens? How’s that law practice going in Essex and all that, but the Baltimore County Executive thing, and, you know, I haven’t talked to Don about it, and when he was selected after the death of Kevin cabinet, but it is a little weird. And I’ve run into Johnny a couple of times. And of course, you’re close with Johnny. Oh, and Johnny’s done the show here and whatnot. Lives in the neighborhood. I never thought about like, Oh, he’s gonna win. What’s gonna happen? Can you explain that process? What I’ve been following Izzy Patoka and Julian Jones, different people.

Todd Schuler  01:26

Nobody knows the process is one problem. But yeah, we I’ve actually been at the last two council meetings because of it. I went and spoke. You were there Monday, and then I was there Monday when the candidates spoke. Please

Nestor Aparicio  01:36

tell me I this is I was gonna invite Izzy on or something soup to nuts. Johnny Oh is the Baltimore County Executive currently, as we sit here and was elected to to to Congress, and now we’ll have to vacate that seat for two years, correct? So instead of, like the assistant Baltimore County Executive, or the June, you know, the lieutenant, or whatever, the county council never set up that way,

Todd Schuler  02:01

and they pick a interim County. I thought about

Nestor Aparicio  02:05

this, and I thought why? And I thought, well, the seven of them would all fight amongst each other if it were a power struggle, no matter who seven they are. When you

Todd Schuler  02:13

I’m pretty sure three of them are running for county executive in 2026 but I don’t know that for sure,

Nestor Aparicio  02:18

but that’s that’s good for them. That’s the way it should be done. They’ll get voted on. But this thing where they all get in a room and hash it out with somebody that doesn’t own a business, right? Like somebody said to me, why didn’t I put my name in that? Why I own a business? There’s a lot of parts of that I know. Barry would a couple of these people have been on my show. Kathy clausmyer, different people have been involved in this. What? What? What should citizens know? Because I don’t think citizens know a whole lot about if I went through the bar here and Dundalk, we were in Baltimore County, I don’t think people knew about any of this. This is

Todd Schuler  02:49

the process as I am aware of it, which is they, they had a public meeting, and they invited anybody to speak about, not a candidate in particular, but what their priorities would be for for a new county executive for the position for the next couple of years. They took that they narrowed whatever list they had 15 or 16 people that had put their name in. They narrowed it to five, and they gave that five last Monday night, 15 minutes each to speak, and they didn’t take questions. And we, I went and I watched them speak up. They all, they’re all very obviously impressive people, but yeah, the county council is going to select at some point from those five people the county.

Nestor Aparicio  03:29

But there is there, is there a core, is it in the codicils of Baltimore County Government as to how this handles, if it’s the same thing that with Don right? I mean, very quickly and under incredible duress, because

Todd Schuler  03:44

cabinets, a guy, yeah, and so they, they, you know,

Nestor Aparicio  03:48

had running the county the minute he dies. Who runs the county

Todd Schuler  03:52

there is the county administrative officer who is the highest non elected position in Baltimore County. And that individual, I believe, would assume at some point that

Nestor Aparicio  04:05

was a chief of staff for for Kevin cabinets, and got anointed kind of so sort of weird way. And it was only about eight months. It was, it wasn’t very wasn’t, it wasn’t a long term. But this time around, it’s two years, and this is something that’s been enough. I mean, everybody knew Johnny was going to win from the minute he won the primary, you know what I mean, like, I mean, yeah, yeah, he would have thought maybe

Todd Schuler  04:29

they would have had a succession plan a little faster, you know, given the time to plan for it. But it seems like any day the white smoke is going to go up and we have a new county executive

Nestor Aparicio  04:41

in a really unique I don’t say awkward, weird, whatever you got to do something. I don’t know what the something is. I don’t know that I ever really thought about what the something should be.

Todd Schuler  04:50

The next scheduled county council meeting is January 6, so they could go without a decision until well after the new year. How do you. Feel

Nestor Aparicio  05:00

about the process as a citizen, as an elected as a lawyer, just, I don’t know, what did you don’t have just an election and say, well, they let me

Todd Schuler  05:08

come speak and they let me beg for a bridge. You know, most important down here, right? What we can’t afford a and actually, we’ve gotten some pretty good news recently that the most recent federal budget bill does fully fund the bridge, but I didn’t know that two Mondays ago when I’m there, saying, well,

Nestor Aparicio  05:23

we also know who’s gonna be running the country. We can get to that in a couple of months too, but we have to, yeah. I mean, you know, it’s a clown show. I don’t know what else to say. I mean, you know, I want to be the ambassador to Venezuela if I gave enough money, I guess I could

Todd Schuler  05:36

be. But our next, yeah, our next, our bridge, is in that three month funding bill that went through Congress that, you know,

Nestor Aparicio  05:45

our bridge, it is

Todd Schuler  05:47

opening the audience bridges. Look around you. I mean,

Nestor Aparicio  05:51

people in here work across that bridge that’s not there anymore. I’ll, you know, I’ll bring Jen over here right now talk about her beautiful life on the other end of that bridge, that she’s had this job for 20 years here at Costas, and she has to go through the tunnel to get here every day.

Todd Schuler  06:04

It’s different. I could live. I could have brought the lovely Miss Allison in here, who worked with me since the inception of Blondell Miller and Schuler, as Blondel Miller and Schuler, whose husband works in Bowie, who no longer works for Blondell Miller and Schuler, because that bridge went out, and she’s down, you know, in Charles County with her husband, you know, he’s not making a two and a half hour commute every day. He was happy to go to Bowie, you know, when, when she was working, they were working and living in Essex. So that, that’s the kind of atrophy that I see

Nestor Aparicio  06:33

it anytime you’re on the northeast side of the beltway this time of day, morning and afternoon. There’s just more cars, right? And I don’t know about that or I mean, I sat here, I came here and had a tear and a beer the first night it went down. I was in Florida. The morning it happened, I flew home, and I’m like, I gotta, I feel like I had to do something. And I sitting at the bar of Costas with people down in this neighborhood, that night in March, made me feel like it kill me. I could do it. You know,

Todd Schuler  06:58

it took our lifetime to rebuild this side of town when we lose steel, right? When we lose everything that manufacturing, steel that

Nestor Aparicio  07:06

goes politician and him comes, Yeah, cuz I could do the horse racing guy. I can do the Calvert Hall guy. Can do the New Orleans music drinker guy, can do all that with you, but your best when you’re being this guy, right? Seriously, you are ride

Todd Schuler  07:19

down Eastern Avenue right now. I challenge anybody to ride down Eastern Avenue right now. By my office in Essex. It’s beautiful. The signage is great. The businesses are banging. Everything’s there, and it took a lifetime to get there. I started working in Essex in 2002 and and I saw what decades of decay were, right? We’ve had decades of investment on the east side of Baltimore County, and they’ve paid off. And the way we recovered was these distribution centers. Right? Was these logistics centers, right? They’re there access to roads. They’re there because it can take they can take stuff off of ships, put them on roads and spin them out, right? What happens when they don’t have roads? That’s the bridge. That’s how important it is, and it’s my business that takes, that takes workers comp cases out of those, right? All of those folks work, and they get hurt, and they need lawyers, and they need insurance companies to defend those claims. So those people need lawyers and royal farm store needs, you know, sandwiches to sell these people, right? When that atrophies, and it can, if we don’t. Well,

Nestor Aparicio  08:28

the first thing I was worried about down here is how many people are not going to be coming to Costas because the bridge, they’re just gonna get a crackdown. The other side of the bridge in Pasadena, and it, I think the first night, it almost felt like it’s sort of North Point Boulevard becomes sort of the road to nowhere. It right

Todd Schuler  08:47

comes the road to No. I mean, 702, down. Where are you going? But around here, right? And unless we have that bridge, we’re part of the circle

Nestor Aparicio  08:57

about this. I mean, it’s a holidays. I thought it was going to be like some ravens and some Todd shoulders here blind animal Schoeller, former reformed politician, I should say reformed, recovering elected. I had a recovering a sports media person yesterday with the with John maroon, I recovering, reformed, no longer capture whatever it is the county and this new county, what did you say you had 15 minutes? I mean, I

Todd Schuler  09:26

gave you 50. I needed. I told him I needed my bridge. I told him, What? What? Just what? I told you, right, okay, I told him about the atrophy when I first arrived in Essex as a Hereford

Nestor Aparicio  09:34

boy. So if you live in Owings Mills, you wouldn’t know any of this. You just wouldn’t or live up

Todd Schuler  09:39

in Hereford, up 83 or whatever, you know, but I’m an Essex guy, you know, like, I’ve been here for 25 years now. We use that bridge. We use that bridge. My wife, my work, my works by the airport, you know, like we, we kind of need it, and we’re jammed up everywhere we’re going. But most importantly, down here, like you said, that road to nowhere, concept, if all we are is down here by ourselves. US and interacting with ourselves. We atrophy, we die on the vine. So I told that to the county council, and I hope that we have a county executive that is laser focused on getting that bridge built. And we did get some good news that we’re in the the federal budget now, but I don’t particularly trust our federal leaders and or our state leaders, like we need a county executive, that’s that’s got that job in a battle, I asked Johnny, I shouldn’t probably say this, but I’ve never asked Johnny, oh, for anything, you know, he’s my roommate in Annapolis, many, many years ago. But I was after the bridge went down, I was like, D I know it’s allowed to ask professionally, but maybe you could stick around, you know, like we kind of, you know. And he told me he’s got, you know, we obviously need partners at the federal government, and I wouldn’t begrudge him a career move like the US Congress, but, but we need that kind of energy. We need somebody. We can’t have somebody sitting in the Baltimore County Executive waiting for the check to arrive, right? Yeah, cutting ribbons and stuff. We don’t have time for that. We’ve done too good. We’ve done too much to get where we are, if we were to lose that now, to slip our footing, it could be another lifetime before the bridge

Nestor Aparicio  11:06

worries you more than anything about the county. Like literally, Mark Miller said it the other day.

Todd Schuler  11:10

It’s the biggest thing that happened in 2024 in our lives. It’s the biggest thing that happened in 24 we had the big national election. Obviously, you know how we feel the same way about Donald Trump and all this, you know, like the Ravens stubbing their toe against Kansas City, the Orioles stuff in their toe. Again, like the biggest thing that happened is we lost a bridge, a really big one, right in our community, a point of transportation, a point of commerce. Where were you when it happened? I can’t remember. I think I was it

Nestor Aparicio  11:38

was overnight. It was overnight. It was overnight. Well, what happened with me was Jessica val is from Hart design. She does Baltimore, she she develops my website. She’s been a guest here at Costas. Her husband is is on one of the dive teams, and at 330 in the morning, he works for the city and the cops. 330 in the morning, my phone went off. I didn’t see it. I was in a hotel room with Luke. He’s in one bed. I’m in another bed. We were in Florida, in Orlando. It was the morning after Bucha and Decosta looked at me like they’d never seen me before. They ran away from me at midnight that night. We got home at one in the morning, and he was going back for this coaches thing, and I was driving. I had the car. I was gonna drop him off, because I don’t have immediate pass, so I was gonna drop him off, and 530 in the morning, our alarm was set for, like, six, but I woke up at 530 and I saw a message from Jessica, and I’m like, what did the Russians hack my website overnight? Like, why would? And she’s like, Hey, just want to let you know that. And I’m like, I put my glasses on, Luke’s like, sleeping in the other bed, and I looked down on the phone and like, I’m on Twitter and I’m it looked like an AI like a fake, yeah, I went into the bad to pee, because it’s, I went into the bathroom with my phone shut the door. I’m looking and I’m looking at it. I’m like, I went back in, I climbed into bed, and I started looking. And I said, Luke, Luke man, you got to get up. You got to get up. You got to get he’s like, I like, it was 20 minutes earlier. We were going to he had to be in a breakfast at seven o’clock anyway, we were in Orlando, and I’m like, Dude, the Key Bridge just went down. He’s like, what he grabbed? His glasses were on our phone. I put on CNN. It was 5:45am and the first thing when CNN came, what’s dark, was Johnny, Oh, Johnny, oh. Was doing a thing standing there. And I’m like, this is within a minute and a half of wake up. P who am I? Florida? Where am I? That’s Luke television on bridge down. What like? I’m like, This can’t

Todd Schuler  13:37

this can’t be then it’s, then it’s early days of COVID for a couple weeks there, because the ports closed, like, when they gonna get the port open, like, and when they do get the port open, when they gonna build trench in? All of that back to normal? Yeah, it was. It is a dangerous time commercially. I believe, you know, and I still believe, I’m comforted again by the news that were fully funded by the federal government. But I don’t

Nestor Aparicio  14:03

what the federal government means anymore. For four years, yeah. I mean, I watched it for four years. Yeah, if Wes, Moore says something bad about Donald Trump, Lucy pulls the football. It’s insane. It’s not. We’re about to go into a place that we are familiar with that it’s it’s unspeakable. It is on that people here, anywhere, would let that guy watch their children for an hour, let alone run this country. I

Todd Schuler  14:34

I’ve had a hard time pulling myself out of a really deep fuck. It was weird, you know, I didn’t consume news for a while. I’m back. I’m good. We got this. We’re, you know, like, Well,

Nestor Aparicio  14:47

you’re the original fighter. You’re the original sort of Dundalk Democrat to stand up and say, This is not the way the country is going to

Todd Schuler  14:53

be run. Well, and it’s like, what’s the alternative? Like, cower and hide? You know, there’s, like, the speech from the girl in the new Star Wars. It’s like, right? What are we supposed to do? Beg for mercy? Like, now we got to get in a flight. We got to, we got to stick up for America, right?

Nestor Aparicio  15:07

Yeah, I don’t know what this is. I mean, dude, let an insurrection. I mean, dude should be in a prison. And there’s, that’s not rhetoric, that’s law. He’s a criminal. He is a felon. And there’s no fix on that there’s no fix on juries in America. You know what I mean? Like,

Todd Schuler  15:23

I was, I was very harsh and on family members and friends. Like, I don’t think I’d have judged people as hard if, assuming he lost, you know, if you voted for him, Republican

Nestor Aparicio  15:33

friends, I’m not anti Republican. I’m anti criminal. You know, I’m anti lying. Let this happen, yeah? Like Dan Rogers and I got to get two weeks ago, and he’s written this many times. It’s not revelation, but he’s like all of these Baltimore people I meet, and we voted as a state. We didn’t tolerate him, but I have plenty people in my life who somehow think he’s honest, more honest than me and Todd, which is insane, but the notion that everyone in here, especially Dundalk, whoever’s in Dundalk, you’re not gonna get over on me, right? I’m so I’m smart, I’m smart guy. I’ve been through not getting over you’re not gonna bullshit me.

Todd Schuler  16:13

World class con man. It’s

Nestor Aparicio  16:17

unbelievable. Flags are flying. It’s just an unbelievable thing from a Christian standpoint. And I was raised Christian, Catholic. Our Lady of Fatima carried the carried the cross. I was in, you know, as an altar. But I this is nothing to do. I am embarrassed by my Christian friends who think that this is Christian because it’s not in any way. I’m embarrassed for my military friends who think that this guy is tough patriot and capable of making grown up decision. It’s it just goes on and on down the list all

Todd Schuler  16:51

my life as a hippie, Democrat kind of liberal dude, right? Well, you just don’t you’re not good with God if you’re that way, right? You’re not really a patriot that way. You’re not really that smart, and you obviously don’t have a lot of money. Should I cut my hair out? Yeah, no, but that’s the whole stick, right? Let’s go, hippie. Let’s go. Let your freak flag fly. Hey

Nestor Aparicio  17:11

baby, thank you. But, um, imagine that. I’m not, I can’t. She’s coming too. I won’t have my long hair for her because, yeah,

Todd Schuler  17:18

you gotta look like you can’t. You can’t have a, can’t have a go, go in here and not

Nestor Aparicio  17:22

should lose your crush on me if I don’t have my absolutely, absolutely she’s got the real crush on John Allen, but that’s okay. Yeah, there’s real rock stars and there’s radio guys.

Todd Schuler  17:32

So the last time I’m with you was it Captain Larry’s and federal thinking about this riding down, and I took my headphones off. I sat them here,

17:43

but that was like two and a half years. Two and a half years ago. Took my

Todd Schuler  17:47

headphones off, I go sit at the bar, and we signed Lamar Jackson to a five year deal. That’s the day. It was okay. And so here I am in town, you know, like quasi past COVID, you know, like good, beautiful spring day, quasi past winter, and we had signed Lamar. So here we are, perfect

Nestor Aparicio  18:04

day in the hot stuff.

Todd Schuler  18:06

What happens now? I’m almost excited to go get my crab cake and find out that we got Corbin burns or the young Japanese guy. What do

Nestor Aparicio  18:14

we got? We got the Japanese guy, not the young one, yeah, the one our age. Well, this is, I mean, Bill Cole, our mutual friend, not Councilman bill, but roofing Bill both well, and they probably both would agree with this. I haven’t had I took a picture with both of them in Vegas. I thought that was great. I was almost like getting picture fake Elvis. Bill Cole came on two weeks ago, and he’s like, you and me, like we’ll do a show. And sometimes it’s about politics or government could be about anything. We went into the Orioles trap. I don’t even know how. I mean, I don’t even know why, but I brought it up, and we went down that hole. And he basically challenged me, like, what? What did you really expect? And I’m like, before or after I met David Rubenstein, before Peter died, my expectation was at some point he would die. My expectation was at some point the kid would have to get rid of it, because they would chase him out. Because that’s the nature of of Major League Baseball, I think. And I thought Mr. Bigel by the team, and I don’t know who Mr. Big will be,

Todd Schuler  19:13

we got a big Mr. Big. He’s playing like Mr. Little. He’s so far I gotta believe why

Nestor Aparicio  19:19

we met him at Beth the fellow couple weeks ago, night before the election. Actually, I met him. He gave his elevator speech, and this is where Bill and I got talking about this. I talked to Chris Corman from the banner about this, at a meet cheese on Tuesday. I’ve done a couple of conversation about meeting Mr. Rubenstein. You know, I went there with a baseball or one a selfie, and I effed up. I didn’t say I wrote you a letter. I hope you read it. I didn’t give him that, but I did talk to him about those 10,000 empty seats, and I said, there’s been a lot of trauma here. I mean, are you aware of this? Are you just you’re not aware of it. Katie Griggs isn’t aware of it. They all think Greg baders, cool. He was kind of a part of it all, and they’re acting like this is a normal fan base in a normal city, in a normal place, that they’re just gonna Well, it’s not even the hungry, it’s the disassociated. Were you in the upper deck for either one of those games? I

Todd Schuler  20:18

was both games are one. I was at the game too.

Nestor Aparicio  20:21

So the day they had the 10,000 empty seats. You were actually there. I was there. How do you we never How would you describe it to to our fathers, who love the Orioles, if they came back and said, after all this in Camden Yards and all that, there were 10,000 empty seats at

Todd Schuler  20:38

a playoff game, guys that like the old busses out of a place like this, or the old bromwell Tavern or play, right? Like places like that, that they would take busses to colts games and stuff like that, right? There was nothing. It was a it was a nothing

Nestor Aparicio  20:52

burger. How would you understand that Camden Yards has been funded, built this team’s been good. They won 100 and they couldn’t give tickets away for 10 bucks for a playoff game. It was rough. I mean, 79 and 83 weren’t like that. You know what I mean, in my childhood, I in your mind, what are the Orioles going to be in this way?

Todd Schuler  21:09

Well, I mean, we got to come back Mark, Mark, and I have Mark, and I got some tickets this year we’re doing our, oh, you going Park? Yeah, we’re gonna do a little blonde l Miller and Schuler here and there. So you

Nestor Aparicio  21:21

should have asked him for my press pass back before you bought the ticket. Probably, I probably would.

Todd Schuler  21:25

We want to get in. We wanted to get in, you know, like, be those high dollar course. So

Nestor Aparicio  21:28

when they give me my press space back, and everybody takes credit, right? Okay, we can take credit for it, but sounds like a tax write off to me. But nonetheless, keep going. I’m

Todd Schuler  21:36

scared. I’m scared we lose this window, right? We’ve got the gunner Henderson and the Adley Richmond in place, right? Like it’s a pitching dude, gotta bring some horses in and win this while we can, you know, like it’s been, I’m, I’m six and 82 I know you’re

Nestor Aparicio  21:50

a little bit older. You’re pretending you’re Mola right now. You’re smarter than this. Talk about the money talk. Where’s the money coming from for the team? Where’s, where’s the media, where’s, where are the people? Wait, what is, what is Katie Griggs, what’s on her Blackboard right now? As she What if you took, dude, you run stuff, right? You the president of the team, the president, don’t run the business. Wouldn’t be a bad decision, by the way, because you’re local, and you know people, you know what? I mean, they’re all these teams are into hiring the head of Campbell Soup to go run the Redskins, right? Like Baltimore, you want to run the Orioles, you better have an artery to cost us in. But you better have an artery into the community, because Peter destroyed it for 30 years. Yeah,

Todd Schuler  22:35

the relationships need to be real, built, rebuilt. But if you want the butts in the stands, you gotta win baseball games. And if 30 years, you’ve got to overpay to win baseball, to win World Series, right? We’ve got marketing

Nestor Aparicio  22:47

team. If you don’t win, we can’t. They’re already winning. There any winning point right now that they don’t need anything to be marketed. And you know what, I talked to really smart guy this week about this, who will appear on my air, and said in the sport, and this guy worked in baseball, in the sport of baseball, this time of the year, you don’t want the fans talking about your pitching or who you’re gonna sign. That should be one thing. It shouldn’t be the only thing. And if you were having a winter carnival and there was autographs for this, and good news for that, and good news on this, and good then the pitching would be, we’ll get to that, and just trust us. We don’t trust you. That’s the point. That’s what the 10,000 empty seats in the upper deck are. Is there is no trust for David Rubenstein, because he hasn’t done anything to earn any trust, and the brand itself has been the exact opposite of trust. It’s been awful for 30 years, and we’ve all experienced it to the point where you bought on blind. You bought tickets last 30 years. Now’s buying this year because

Todd Schuler  23:53

of the honeymoon, right? Because you believe, you believe, you believe now you

Nestor Aparicio  23:57

you bought in before they did anything for you, and now you’re even more chippy because you’re like, I’m in. Let’s go. I bought in. I bought it on good faith.

Todd Schuler  24:07

I’m not chippy yet, but if we’re having this conversation in April, I’m chippy. Yes, absolutely. They can’t stand pat. They can’t waste the years of these, right? So David Rubi thought

Nestor Aparicio  24:19

doesn’t know anything about baseball. So he doesn’t even, like, get that, you know what I mean, like hit their nose, that

they haven’t spent money in a while, and then he needs to stroke a check, right? If he doesn’t know that he he couldn’t got, he couldn’t have gotten where he’s this

is where I am with it. And I talked about this openly as well. 1.8 billion on the team. Fine. You get 600 million of free money that guys like you went down Annapolis and gave them, you know, years ago that that money’s been sitting there letting for whomever owns the team, right? So 1.8 million is already depressed price on the asset to begin with, in the sport, like, like, because of the TV market, because DC is close, because business managed, because all of that, right? So you get 600 million. So only in it. A million, 2,000,000,002 because they’re giving you 600 million to fix your house up, right? Allegedly, why wouldn’t you go into this thinking I need 500 million more to fund it, to just literally fund the organization with 500 million more, put it in and say, Look, we’re gonna play 100 million over revenue the next five years, in an effort to get 38,000 people in in an effort to get Costas to buy a bus, in an effort to get Blondell Miller shoulder to buy eight season tickets instead of four, like all of that has to happen. And I know that formula. And more than that, I know this city. The thing that really bothers me is they don’t know the city. They don’t know anything about their fan base. They don’t have Greg Baden didn’t know anything about the fan base. Greg baders, the reason they’re 10,000 empty seats up there, he’s responsible. They were a part of this. The other thing was horrific. The team on the field. Sometimes it was okay, sometimes it was really horrific. But the business itself and the support of businesses, whether they win or lose, whether they sign a pitcher or not, whether Gunder Henderson stays five years or not, because they’re not in control of that. They really aren’t. He doesn’t want to be here. He won’t be here, right? So it’s not like football, where they can just Zack Lamar didn’t want to be here. He didn’t have a choice. They kind of made. They boxed him in, and the other owners all got together and colluded, and Atlanta Falcons didn’t need Lamar Jackson and what? Right? So that’s, that’s the reality of this. The reality for me is, where’s the money coming from, and what’s the media going to be? How am I going to get the game? What are you going to charge me to get it, and not this, Netflix, Apple TV, and I got to get the game. I want to have every game on my app give me that’s the way you make me a real customer cable. That’s the way you get the lacrosse stick out of my kids hands, all of that stuff. So to me, the front facing part of this, over the first 90 days, they’ve done nothing to make me want to buy a ticket. When I buy tickets, you’ll know things are fixed, like, seriously, like, when they can convince me that they’re different better, community oriented, winning minded, good people when they can convince me that I’ll buy a ticket again. All right, you know, tell them You gotta come to tickets. Gina, go with me to Gina shock is coming in. She got a beautiful doggy here today, as she usually does as well. We have rock and roll royalty, your Todd schulers Here, Blondel Miller Schoeller, former, reformed, recovering politician. It was you were still at politicking 48 hours ago, trying to say a little bit yeah, trying to get the bridge built down here, give everybody the legal speech for you. Because if you get in an accident or something like that, you need a guy like this, but you do more than that and and by the way, I’m not just pimping for him. Mark Miller, his part. The miller part. My childhood friend Mark Miller. Actually, his childhood home was three blocks from Gina shock. So Mark Miller is from Gina’s neighborhood and all that stuff. So we’re all done dog together. But I’ve known Mark since 1979 and here,
