Health concerns continued to mount for the Ravens secondary less than 24 hours before Sunday’s road meeting with Cleveland.

After listing top cornerback Marlon Humphrey (knee) as doubtful to play on Friday, Baltimore downgraded rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins from questionable to out for Week 8 as he continues dealing with an illness and a lingering shoulder issue. The first-round pick out of Clemson didn’t travel with the team to Cleveland on Saturday afternoon.

With Wiggins sidelined and Humphrey not expected to play after hurting his right knee in Week 7, the Ravens are preparing to be without two of their top three corners, but they will welcome back veteran nickel Arthur Maulet (knee/hamstring) and third-year outside corner Jalyn Armour-Davis (hamstring) from injured reserve. Maulet was activated earlier this week while Armour Davis was reinstated to the 53-man roster on Saturday afternoon. To make roster space for Maulet, the Ravens placed rookie cornerback T.J. Tampa (ankle) on injured reserve a day after he was ruled out for Sunday’s game.

Baltimore elevated undrafted rookie cornerback Bump Cooper Jr. from the practice squad for additional depth against the Browns.

Despite the Ravens being so banged up at cornerback, it remains to be seen whether Cleveland’s 30th-ranked pass offense will be able to take advantage as quarterback Jameis Winston will be making his first start in more than two years and only his 11th start over the last five seasons. Winston is taking over for Browns starter Deshaun Watson, who suffered a torn Achilles tendon last week.

On Saturday, the Browns activated three-time Pro Bowl right guard Wyatt Teller (knee) from IR.
