OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Facing the NFL’s No. 1 scoring offense with the AFC lead on the line Sunday afternoon, the Ravens could be without two starting members of their secondary against Miami.

Standout safety Kyle Hamilton (left knee) and cornerback Brandon Stephens (ankle) were both listed as questionable to play against the Dolphins after sitting out practice on Friday. Hamilton logged only one limited practice on Thursday while Stephens didn’t practice on Thursday or Friday after playing every defensive snap in Monday’s win at San Francisco.

To no surprise, head coach John Harbaugh offered little insight into how either player was progressing on Friday, saying only that “everybody that can go will be out there” playing on Sunday.

After doing very little during the media viewing portion of Thursday’s practice, Hamilton was noncommittal about his Week 17 status after re-aggravating a minor knee injury originally sustained in the Dec. 17 win at Jacksonville. His activity level decreasing from Thursday to Friday wasn’t an encouraging sign for his availability.

“It’s day by day — still evaluating. It’s a short week,” Hamilton said Thursday. “We’ve got a day less to kind of evaluate everything, but I’ll do everything I can to make it to the game.”

Stephens has played a team-high 1,017 defensive snaps while blossoming into a quality starting cornerback in his third season.

Hamilton and Stephens weren’t the only starters listed as questionable as wide receiver Zay Flowers (calf) didn’t practice this week until logging limited work Friday. Right guard Kevin Zeitler (knee/quadricep) was also limited this week before being upgraded to full participation for Friday’s workout.

Concerns in the Baltimore secondary will be eased by the absence of speedy Miami receiver Jaylen Waddle, who was officially ruled out with an ankle injury on Friday. The Dolphins are also expected to be without starting right guard Robert Hunt (hamstring), who was listed as doubtful.

Miami listed six other starters as questionable, a list including cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey (knee) and Xavien Howard (hip/thumb) and safety Jevon Holland (knees). Ramsey didn’t appear on the injury report until Friday, making his status worth monitoring over the weekend. Holland has been sidelined with MCL sprains in both knees since late November, but there is reported optimism that he’ll make his return against Baltimore.

Below is the final injury report for Week 17:

BALTIMORE
OUT: CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (concussion)
QUESTIONABLE: WR Zay Flowers (calf), S Kyle Hamilton (knee), LB Del’Shawn Phillips (shoulder), CB Brandon Stephens (ankle), G Kevin Zeitler (knee/quad)

MIAMI
OUT: WR Jaylen Waddle (ankle)
DOUBTFUL: G Robert Hunt (hamstring)
QUESTIONABLE: OL Lester Cotton (hip), C Liam Eichenberg (calf/ankle), S Jevon Holland (knees), CB Xavien Howard (hip/thumb), RT Austin Jackson (oblique), RB Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle), CB Jalen Ramsey (knee)

These milestones continue to add up as the 25th anniversary of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV win is coming later this month and Nestor is catching up with many of the Purple Reign legacies about life – on and off the field – as we celebrate the night we all felt the civic pride of that first miracle in Tampa. Reflections here with the man who coached Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, Sam Gash and Femi Ayanbadejo a quarter of a century ago.

Firing the head coach and changing leadership will certainly create an interesting offseason in Owings Mills. No one covers the Xs and Os of the NFL like Mike Tanier of Too Deep Zone. The one-time geometry teacher of Joe Flacco joins Nestor to discuss the depth and salary cap numbers of the Baltimore Ravens roster and the structural changes Eric DeCosta will need even after Steve Bisciotti finds a new captain to lead Lamar Jackson.
