OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Completing their final full practice in Owings Mills before traveling to Arizona on Saturday, the Ravens continued to be without safety Kendrick Lewis and four others on Friday.
Dealing with what head coach John Harbaugh described as a “bone bruise” in his left knee, Lewis missed his third straight day of practice ahead of Monday night’s game against the Cardinals. With second-year safety Terrence Brooks also sidelined with a thumb injury, the Ravens may be forced to use the combination of Anthony Levine and Brynden Trawick at the starting spot opposite strong safety Will Hill.
Undrafted rookie safety Nick Perry is currently on the practice squad, but Harbaugh would not reveal whether the Ravens would prefer to add another healthy safety to the 53-man roster. Baltimore is currently carrying fourth running backs on the active roster and starter Justin Forsett is no longer listed on the injury report.
“We’ll just leave that up to speculation,” Harbaugh said. “We’ve got our plans, and we’ll follow through on those plans.”
Also missing from Friday’s workout were defensive end Chris Canty (calf), tight end Maxx Williams (knee/ankle), and wide receiver Breshad Perriman. Canty had practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday and Thursday, but he has missed Baltimore’s last four games with a calf injury suffered in the Week 2 loss to Oakland.
Cornerback Asa Jackson (thigh) returned to practice on Friday along with linebackers Elvis Dumervil and Daryl Smith, who each received a veteran day off on Thursday.
Cornerback Lardarius Webb (thigh) and right guard Marshal Yanda (ankle) were both present and working after being listed as limited participants on Thursday.

Right Now in Baltimore
Podcasts, Pearl Jam passion and the present tense with The Mayne Event
They met on the backstretch at Pimlico three decades ago and The Mayne Event always returns and never disappoints for sports, comedy, charity and why Eddie Vedder shouldn't trust Nestor. Longtime ESPNer Kenny Mayne checks in for another round of tales of wiffle ball with Ken Griffey, podcasts with the other Manning and still being pissed off about the Sonics (and Pilots) departure from Seattle.
Running back Tampa 25 years later with Ravens RB coach Matt Simon
These milestones continue to add up as the 25th anniversary of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV win is coming later this month and Nestor is catching up with many of the Purple Reign legacies about life – on and off the field – as we celebrate the night we all felt the civic pride of that first miracle in Tampa. Reflections here with the man who coached Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, Sam Gash and Femi Ayanbadejo a quarter of a century ago.
The Ravens weren't good enough on the field
Firing the head coach and changing leadership will certainly create an interesting offseason in Owings Mills. No one covers the Xs and Os of the NFL like Mike Tanier of Too Deep Zone. The one-time geometry teacher of Joe Flacco joins Nestor to discuss the depth and salary cap numbers of the Baltimore Ravens roster and the structural changes Eric DeCosta will need even after Steve Bisciotti finds a new captain to lead Lamar Jackson.
