OWINGS MILLS, Md. — The Ravens filled their final spot on the 53-man roster by signing cornerback Chris Greenwood off the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad on Wednesday.
Originally a fifth-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2012, Greenwood had spent the entire regular season on Minnesota’s practice squad after he failed to make Detroit’s 53-man roster at the end of the preseason. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound cornerback appeared in three games for the Lions in 2013, making six tackles as a reserve.
Greenwood becomes the fifth cornerback on the current 53-man roster after Asa Jackson (knee) was officially placed on injured reserve Tuesday. The Albion product joins Lardarius Webb, Rashaan Melvin, Anthony Levine, and Antoine Cason in the surviving group of cornerbacks entering Week 16 with five currently on IR.
In addition to the Vikings and the Lions, Greenwood spent some time with the Dallas Cowboys last season.

Twelve Ravens Thoughts following DeCosta-Minter press conferences at NFL scouting combine
Head coach Jesse Minter talked with reporters gathered in Indianapolis on Tuesday.
The Linderbaum decision looms large for Ravens and DeCosta
The Baltimore Ravens brain trust have assembled in Indianapolis preparing to pick 14th in the NFL Draft in April but the minds of Luke Jones and Nestor are on two massive contract issues that will need closure before the free agency tampering begins in two weeks. First up is the Lamar Jackson restructure but the real market value for center Tyler Linderbaum and the salary cap tolerance for general manager Eric DeCosta will come into full focus before March 11.
As free agency nears, DeCosta says Ravens have made "market-setting" offer to Linderbaum
"Tyler’s a guy that I have tremendous respect for. Obviously, he’s proven to be, in my opinion, the best center in the league."
