After playing the better part of two years without Ronnie Stanley, the Ravens will once again take the field without their star left tackle for Sunday’s game in Jacksonville.

Stanley was officially ruled out Friday after missing the entire practice week with a Week 11 injury to the same left ankle that required multiple surgeries and kept him out of 31 of 32 games from 2020 through the first four games of the current season. The good news is that the 2019 Pro Bowl left tackle appeared to avoid serious injury, according to head coach John Harbaugh. The versatile Patrick Mekari is now set to start at left tackle against the Jaguars, which will be his third start of the season at that spot.

Though officially listed as questionable on the final injury report, rookie safety Kyle Hamilton also missed the entire practice week and appears unlikely to play after suffering a left knee injury in the 13-3 win over Carolina last Sunday. Hamilton has emerged as Baltimore’s top option at the nickel position, making the timing of the first-round pick’s injury unfortunate.

Running back Gus Edwards was officially listed as questionable and appears on track to make his return from a hamstring injury suffered in the Week 8 win at Tampa Bay. The fifth-year back was able to practice fully on Thursday and Friday after being limited in practices dating back to last week. Edwards was designated as questionable for the Carolina game before ultimately sitting out.

“I’m optimistic again this week like I was last week,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll just have to see, but I feel good about it. I’m going to use a cliché on this one: I’m going to say that I’m hopeful that he’ll make it.”

While wide receiver Demarcus Robinson practiced fully and is expected to play after sitting out Thursday with a hip issue, the Ravens added wide receiver Devin Duvernay (hamstring) and tight end Isaiah Likely (ankle) to the final injury report with questionable designations after both were limited in Friday’s practice.

As expected, Lamar Jackson did not carry a game status injury designation after practicing fully on Thursday and Friday. Jackson missed Wednesday’s practice with a hip injury, but Harbaugh made clear at the time that the star quarterback would be ready for Sunday’s game.

“It’s getting better,” said Jackson, who confirmed this ailment was different from the hip issue he had last month. “I’m going to be good for Sunday.”

Though not listed on the injury report because he’s still on the practice squad, veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson was able to practice this week and could be an option to be elevated for the first time since hurting his hamstring in the Nov. 7 win at New Orleans. Veteran cornerback Daryl Worley is another candidate to be elevated with rookie Jalyn Armour-Davis missing a second straight game with a hip injury.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson told Jacksonville reporters that running back Darrell Henderson will not play Sunday after being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday, but the Jaguars don’t have a single player on their injury report, which is quite the ideal health picture coming off the bye.
