In his first extended visit, Councilman Zac Blanchard tells Nestor the ways his new energy is sponsoring bills aimed at getting more families invested in an affordable, vibrant, safe downtown life by helping housing near downtown in his busy 11th district, in and around Federal Hill and South Baltimore.

Our Maryland Crab Cake Tour of summer civic and community visits started us at The Y Swim Center in Randallstown for Juneteenth with John Hoey and Barry Williams educating Nestor about the modern world of community activities, fun and great health with The Y in Central Maryland all over the region. And the importance of partnerships with government and the local citizens that keep folks in every neighborhood moving and contributing to a better life in the land of pleasant living.
Our old pal Quintin Dailey of Planet Fitness in Towson makes an early summer visit to tell Nestor there’s plenty of time and reasons to get serious about health and fitness. The annual youth Summer Pass is open for high school students and free all summer giving everyone a local pass to affordable and smart options to get moving right now and feel better.
Sure, David Richardson runs the Greenmount Bowl in Hampstead where duckpins are readily available but whenever Nestor returns to Carroll County he summons the Executive Director of the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen Association to educate all of us on the changing state of Pimlico, Preakness and horse racing in Maryland.
