Maryland Crab Cake (and Brewery) Tour Day 8: Mountains, lakes, High Points and Ace’s Run

The eighth day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland featured a crystal clear morning at Deep Creek Lake and an adventure into West Virginia searching for the highest point in Maryland. Beer and cheer at Mountain State and a tasty bar crab cake at crowded Ace’s Run on the lake.

Maryland Crab Cake (and Brewery) Tour Day 7: Digging Deep on the beauty of Rocky Gap and taps of 1812 and Cumberland

The seventh day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland featured a beautiful morning and incredible spread from chef Dustin Coldsmith at Rocky Gap Casino and the Lakeside Grille. Just a stunning spot in our incredible state! You need to get to this place. We ventured west and managed to hit two Cumberland taps before finding Deep Creek Lake.

Maryland Crab Cake (and Brewery) Tour Day 6: From Frederick to Hagerstown to Hancock to Rocky Gap, Monocacy and Cushwa Breweries and legendary Buddy Lou’s Antiques

The sixth day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland featured a morning of visiting our favorite city in Maryland: Frederick and then a day of exploration (and beer) west toward Hagerstown, Hancock and onto Rocky Gap Casino and Resort where we enjoyed a fire pit on the lake.

The fourth day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland featured a full show afternoon at Full Moon Pub in Reisterstown with great guests and a post-yoga beer at B.C. Brewery in Hunt Valley on a stormy night of open mic.

Maryland Crab Cake (and Brewery) Tour Day 5: Fantastic Frederick at Dutch’s Daughter, Idiom and Brewer’s Alley

The fifth day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland was an after work trip to the place we felt we needed to explore more after last year’s tour: Frederick. This time, we started at Dutch’s Daughter and found two downtown breweries in Idiom and Brewer’s Alley to explore life after dark in Frederick

Maryland Crab Cake (and Brewery) Tour Day 3: Soul Kuisine in Station North and Ministry of Brewing in Butcher’s Hill

The third day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland was an early evening trip to The Soul Kuisine at Station North for a carryout order and the church of beer a.k.a Ministry of Brewing in Butcher’s Hill near Patterson Park. It’s all part of community love to kick off 31 crab cakes and 31 breweries in 31 days to celebrate 31 years on Baltimore airwaves and to promote local business and Restaurant Week all over the state from September 16th through 25th.

The first day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour presented by The Maryland Lottery, Goodwill, Window Nation and the Restaurant Association of Maryland was a busy local Towson and White Marsh day. Dr. Steve Elliott from Elliott Chiropractic and Gregg Landry of Towson Transfer have been friends with Nestor for three decades and shared the local business and community love to kick off 31 crab cakes and 31 breweries in 31 days to celebrate 31 years on Baltimore airwaves and to promote local business and Restaurant Week all over the state from September 16th through 25th.

On the 20th day of the Maryland Crab Cake Tour, Nestor got his first chance to experience the MACo conference of all of the state’s stakeholders at the beach and chat with a wide group of folks trying to make The Free State better.

1st Maryland Crab Cake Tour: Day 12 A bridge, a view and a breeze in beautiful Chesapeake City

On the 12th day of the Maryland #CrabCakeTour in 2021, Nestor had his sights set on the Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefers evening of beautiful music in Camden, New Jersey and made Cecil County his destination. On the tour, Nestor hit all 24 counties and jurisdictions across the state so he could see and taste the local vibe.

1st Maryland Crab Cake Tour: Day 5 Who picks those crabs that become your crab cake and discussing District 1 in Chestertown with Heather Mizeur

On the fifth day of his 30-day, 30-crab cake journey in 2021, Nestor spent the morning at the J.M. Clayton crab picking facility in downtown Cambridge and rolled north to Chestertown to spend the afternoon discussing D.C. politics with Heather Mizeur.
