This picture was taken in 1989 backstage at Hammerjacks. Locally born and bred drummer Steve Gorman (on right in Orioles orinthologically correct hat) will take over the story from there in the aftermath of his best-selling book on the history of the notoriously infamous Black Crowes and life with The Brothers Robinson.
It wasn’t until The Black Crowes broke up that Nestor first had drummer and Severna Park grad Gorman on the radio show. They made up for lost time with the gospel of how much he loved the band.
When the American Idol crew came through the Royal Farms Arena in 2009, Nestor talked about Kiss and Robert Plant with a future superstar and man of Mercury.
