13. Eric Davis’ 30-game hitting streak (1998)
The Orioles outfielder’s mark speaks for itself as the longest hitting streak in modern franchise history, but the fact that Davis put together such a run a year after being diagnosed with colon cancer makes this accomplishment even more special.
He hit .400 with 10 home runs and 35 RBIs and posted an 1.137 on-base plus slugging percentage over his 30-game hitting streak, propelling the Orioles over the .500 mark and back into the wild-card race before the club ultimately faded to a 79-83 finish. Davis would depart via free agency that offseason, but his strong season and remarkable hitting streak provided some of the lone highlights of a disappointing season.
