OWINGS MILLS, Md. — With impressive rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and 4-1 Washington coming to town for an intriguing Week 6 matchup, the Ravens were without three starters during Wednesday’s practice.

Head coach John Harbaugh said cornerback Marlon Humphrey (ankle), left tackle Ronnie Stanley (toe), and wide receiver Rashod Bateman (groin) all had “normal after-game type of things that you deal with at this point in time of the season.” Cornerback Arthur Maulet (knee/hamstring), reserve linebacker Malik Harrison (groin), and defensive tackle Broderick Washington (knee) were also non-participants.

Humphrey was spotted wearing a walking boot after last Sunday’s 41-38 win over Cincinnati, but Harbaugh downplayed the severity of his injury on Monday. The three-time Pro Bowl cornerback sat out the final six defensive snaps following his pivotal fourth-quarter interception of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow that enabled the Ravens to tie the game and force overtime.

“These are physical, tough games. You’re on the turf and all that,” Harbaugh said. “I just don’t want to make any promises, but I think we’re in good shape.”

Bateman is coming off his best game of the season with four catches for 58 yards and a touchdown in Week 5.

Andrew Vorhees was a full practice participant Wednesday after missing a second straight game with a high-ankle sprain, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll reclaim the starting left guard job with veteran Patrick Mekari having moved inside and rookie Roger Rosengarten making back-to-back starts at right tackle.

“It will be good to have [Vorhees] back, but an object in motion tends to stay in motion,” Harbaugh said Monday. “If we’re doing well, we’re probably going to try to keep that momentum going with the addition and the opportunity to put guys in when and where we might be able to. We’re probably a little more open to that than a lot of teams even still. But I think the offensive line is doing a good job. We’ll just have to see where we’re at through the week.”

Longtime ESPNer Kenny Mayne checks in for another round of tales of wiffle ball with Ken Griffey, podcasts with the other Manning and still being pissed off about the Sonics (and Pilots) departure from Seattle.

These milestones continue to add up as the 25th anniversary of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV win is coming later this month and Nestor is catching up with many of the Purple Reign legacies about life – on and off the field – as we celebrate the night we all felt the civic pride of that first miracle in Tampa. Firing the head coach and changing leadership will certainly create an interesting offseason in Owings Mills. No one covers the Xs and Os of the NFL like Mike Tanier of Too Deep Zone. The one-time geometry teacher of Joe Flacco joins Nestor to discuss the depth and salary cap numbers of the Baltimore Ravens roster and the structural changes Eric DeCosta will need even after Steve Bisciotti finds a new captain to lead Lamar Jackson.
