5. Championship run begins with shutout at Three Rivers – Sept. 3, 2000

Expectations were higher than ever for the Ravens as they began the 2000 season on the road at Three Rivers Stadium. Priest Holmes ran for 119 yards, but the Baltimore defense starred, pitching a 16-0 shutout behind a sack and forced fumble by defensive end Rob Burnett.
After beating the Steelers at their home stadium the season before, it was a dominating victory for Baltimore in its final game at Three Rivers Stadium and set the tempo of defensive dominance for the remainder of the season.
