Van Hollen 2

In our continuing effort to discuss ways to improve life in Baltimore, once again weโ€™ve found the road to prosperity in the Charm City still goes through Washington, D.C. and major decisions being made โ€“ or not made โ€“ in Congress. Our guest this week has been heavily involved in many debates recently involving Elijah Cummings and the President of The United States about our community.

In the wake of more gun violence in America, our Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen joined us for a spirited conversation about guns, America and the fractured state of Congress in a world of Trump. This is the first of a three-part chat that meandered into every aspect of our daily lives and how our local representatives in D.C. are struggling to create the changes that citizens want and deserve.

In this second episode, the conversation turned to health care, our governmentโ€™s role and cost.

We dove in on a variety of topics over a long hour that we hope youโ€™ll listen to and react.

Our #BaltimorePositive schedule has picked up and our calendar is getting full. Please join us soon:

Even a cursory glance at pre-draft coverage made Baltimoreโ€™s interest in Georgia safety Malaki Starks obvious.

Dear Catie Griggs: When Orioles fans ask why I donโ€™t have an Orioles media credential, Iโ€™m sending them to you for answers

Iโ€™m pulling for you to fix the Orioles on-and-off the field, even if you continue the bizarrely petty Angelos family tradition of willfully, purposely and strategically mistreating me and restricting a legitimate professional working local media member from asking youโ€ฆ
