A rematch of the last two AFC Championship games wasn’t good enough for the NFL as the Ravens’ Dec. 22 home game against the New England Patriots has been flexed out of the Sunday night slot.
The league announced Tuesday that the game has been moved to 4:25 p.m. and will be televised on CBS while the Chicago-Philadelphia contest will instead be NBC’s nationally-televised game for Week 16. This move means that the Ravens will have only played in three prime-time games this season unless their Week 17 contest at Cincinnati is moved to Sunday night.
The Ravens opened the 2013 season on a Thursday night in Denver, hosted Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving night, and will play at Detroit this Monday night for their three prime-time appearances of the season.
