As we begin our merger of WNST.net and Baltimore Positive this fall, we’re about to bring forward a wide variety of guests and thought leaders and topics as we navigate all of the aspects of life during a pandemic. Because we haven’t been able to sit down and eat a proper crab cake at Faidley’s at Lexington Market or have some chicken and waffles at State Fare in Catonsville with our guests, we have been doing one longish episode rather than our customary three shorter blocks of conversation.

Don Mohler is a political junkie and loves listening to a wide variety of podcasts. In a Dream Team ensemble of our favorites, we are providing combined ElectionPalooza conversations once a month leading up to the November vote.

This is ElectionPalooza 1, which had no prescribed “theme” but became a wide-ranging conversation about race, Trump and how people’s hearts can change politically, spiritually and rationally.

You’re going to love this hour of conversation with Candace Dodson-Reed and Tom Coale of Elevate Maryland, Ryan Miner of A Miner Detail and the legendary Marc Steiner.

Whew! This is one really good…

Clearly, we voted in June. And we hope you are ready to vote again in November!

We are all in this together and this is a time to educate, unite and keep each other safe. But we also have some extra time to read and learn and educate ourselves in many ways.

We will continue to produce high-quality, intelligent conversations with wisdom from wise leaders as our citizens try to readjust to this pandemic during the summer at Baltimore Positive.

Please subscribe to Baltimore Positive and stay with us.

We’ll try to keep you cool.

What could two Dundalk teachers with 105 years of experience possibly still teach us about science and music?

What could two Dundalk teachers with 105 years of experience possibly still teach us about science and music?

It didn't even seem possible that colleagues Calvin Statham (59 years) and George Scheulen (46 years). who once taught Nestor at Holabird Junior High School in 1979, could still be teaching him about the important things in life beyond chorus and physics all these years later. Two beloved Baltimore County educators continue trying to tame their rambunctious student for the holidays with music and love (and crab cakes) at Costas Inn in Dundalk.

Johnny O on the lack of progress and Trump chaos and chicanery in Washington

We're all fed up and should be. Congressman Johnny Olszewski joined Nestor to discuss the lack of focus and progress on Capitol Hill and potential solutions for health care, transparency in government and the use of Trump's absurd pardons as a grifting tool.
