OWINGS MILLS, Md. — With the Ravens only having one player even limited in practice throughout the week, there wasn’t exactly any drama for Friday’s injury report.
Safety Ed Reed is probable for the conference championship game against New England on Sunday after practicing fully for the first time all week on Friday. The 33-year-old turned his left ankle on the final defensive play of the Ravens’ win over Houston, but he and coach John Harbaugh were not concerned about his availability against the Patriots.
In New England, 14 players are listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week, including tight end Aaron Hernandez, wide receivers Wes Welker and Deion Branch, and offensive linemen Logan Mankins and Sebastian Vollmer. It’s difficult to get a read on New England’s injury siutation with coach Bill Belichick’s history of manipulating the report, but no significant players are considered to be in real danger of not playing.
Quarterback Tom Brady practiced fully for the second straight day and was removed from the injury report on Friday.
