A pair of second-half injuries sustained in the Week 10 loss to Cleveland have proven costly as the Ravens prepare for another AFC North showdown with Cincinnati on Thursday night.

Baltimore has officially ruled out left tackle Ronnie Stanley (right knee) and listed three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey (right calf) as doubtful to play against the Bengals. Head coach John Harbaugh had said there was “a chance” Stanley and Humphrey might be ready to play despite a very quick turnaround, but neither player was able to practice this week.

With starting right tackle Morgan Moses (shoulder) off the injury report and ready to return after a two-game absence, top reserve Patrick Mekari is expected to start at left tackle in place of Stanley like he did for three games earlier this season. Rock Ya-Sin would likely take Humphrey’s place in the starting lineup after replacing him in the third quarter of the 33-31 loss to the Browns, but veteran Ronald Darby could also see game action opposite starting cornerback Brandon Stephens.

The Ravens also listed starting left guard John Simpson (illness/shoulder), outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (groin), safety Daryl Worley (hamstring), and wide receiver Devin Duvernay (hamstring) as questionable, but all but Duvernay were listed as full participants for Wednesday’s workout.

A two-time Pro Bowl return specialist, Duvernay appeared on the injury report after Tuesday’s practice and didn’t participate on Wednesday, a sign that the injury occurred during practice and could sideline him against the Bengals. Running backs Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell are listed as the backup kick returners while rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers is listed as the backup punt returner on the team’s depth chart compiled by the public relations staff.

The Bengals also enter Thursday night’s game at less than full strength with starting wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) and starting defensive end Sam Hubbard (ankle) out for a second straight game. However, fellow starting defensive end Trey Hendrickson practiced fully on Wednesday and doesn’t even carry a game status designation despite initial concerns about his availability after he suffered a hyperextended knee late in this past Sunday’s loss to Houston.

Below is the final game status injury report for Week 11:

BALTIMORE
OUT: ILB Trenton Simpson (concussion), OT Ronnie Stanley (knee)
DOUBTFUL: CB Marlon Humphrey (calf),
QUESTIONABLE: WR Devin Duvernay (hamstring), G John Simpson (illness/shoulder), OLB Kyle Van Noy (groin), S Daryl Worley (hamstring)

CINCINNATI
OUT: WR Tee Higgins (hamstring), DE Sam Hubbard (ankle), WR Andrei Iosivas (knee)
QUESTIONABLE: WR Charlie Jones (thumb)

They met on the backstretch at Pimlico three decades ago and The Mayne Event always returns and never disappoints for sports, comedy, charity and why Eddie Vedder shouldn't trust Nestor. Longtime ESPNer Kenny Mayne checks in for another round of tales of wiffle ball with Ken Griffey, podcasts with the other Manning and still being pissed off about the Sonics (and Pilots) departure from Seattle.

These milestones continue to add up as the 25th anniversary of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV win is coming later this month and Nestor is catching up with many of the Purple Reign legacies about life – on and off the field – as we celebrate the night we all felt the civic pride of that first miracle in Tampa. Reflections here with the man who coached Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, Sam Gash and Femi Ayanbadejo a quarter of a century ago.

Firing the head coach and changing leadership will certainly create an interesting offseason in Owings Mills. No one covers the Xs and Os of the NFL like Mike Tanier of Too Deep Zone. The one-time geometry teacher of Joe Flacco joins Nestor to discuss the depth and salary cap numbers of the Baltimore Ravens roster and the structural changes Eric DeCosta will need even after Steve Bisciotti finds a new captain to lead Lamar Jackson.
